Default oh jeez which tire?

Well the Goodyear LS OEM tires are getting really low on tread at about 25k. I have an 05 xb complete stock except for a few minor mods and I'm not sure which tire to go with.

I live in sunny southern California and there's no snow, but some rain. I've narrowed it down to Michelin Harmony's or Yokohoma Avid TRZ's from reading recommendations on this site.

I just need something that can handle driving me to school and work, as well as going out with buddies on the weekend.

So would you guys recommend the Michelins or the Yoks? Or something else?

IDK about which one, but go with 195/60/15 or 195/55/15, they are more common of a size, which means the tires will cost less.

You can do a 205/55-15 tire as well. Pretty much the same diamater as stock, except a little wider. They'll fit on the stock wheels.

You might want to look into the Falken Ziex ZE-512 tires. That's what I run on my box. ( ^_^)

When my Goodyear OEMs ran down, I went to the Yokahama Avid TRZ. After running them 18 months, I could not be happier with them. And they cost about half of the Michelins. There VERY quite and the ride is much improved.

Thanks for all the replies!

I think I'll be going with the Yokohama TRZ's since I can get a full set installed for $300 where the Michelins will be almost $500...plus they seem to have better reviews.

Others are running BFG's with good luck. Check out what size Tomas is running.
