yes they are ALOT lighter than stock. the stock ones are heavy because of all the adjustments and the extra padding and all.

Only thing I dont like is how they sit flat in the car. But I have had people tell how they put spacers up front to raise the front where your thighs would be. I still need to do that.

As far as price. I got the wides, I payed $688 for them. And sliders run around $150-$200 I think.

I dont have harnesses, but expect another $200 for them.

How is comfort? I know they won't be as good as stock seats but what do u think?

Is there anywhere that actually has the harness bars so actually use the harnesses?

 

Nice Seat bro, I've got a set, what are you planning on doing with the airbag sensor? I took mine out of the old seats but just don't know what to do with them now lol

 

I am not sure about the airbags. i have the resistors to make them work. I just have been procrastinating on doing it. i have off this week so I might finsih it up.

These seats look great! I like the fact that they are black and not blue or some other color. Looks better with the interior.

 

just some FYI .... i have a fix for the SRS light (airbag) when you do this install... all you need to do is basically take off the black box on the driver seat were the harness connects onto ... once you take it off and clip is back into the harness just slide it onto the bracket and it will stick to the bracket because the actual box is magnetized!!!!!.... that bolt for is a major PITA!! so grind it down.. the use a dremel and cut a slit onto the bolt... then use a flat head bit connected to a sock wrench or flat head screw driver, slide the flat head into the slit you just cut with your dremel and vuala.. just loosen it off and ur done....connect it to the harness..mount it or leave it under the seat and no more AIR BAG light.. woot! ...no money spent on resistors and your using oem parts...

 

I willae to try that, but that will only solve the issue of how far you are from the wheel, will it solve the sensor IN the cushion that tells if you are sitting on it?

And since the light is gone, does this mean the airbag will now function!!

 

yes the air bag will function... and the sensor in the cushion for the passenger has not come on for me ... lol.. or the driver.. everything is working nicely lol

what we used to do to shim up the seats was get some body bushings for like a chevy nova or pickup that go between the frame and body they ranged between 1/2"-4 inches........local 4x4 shop is a good place to shop for them..........NAPA also carries them.....or can order.........quite cheap too.........

Holes are already drilled and they are solid and you can pick your height front and back..........

they are like 1 1/4 wide to 2" wide so they are a clean install.........give it a try...........

 

Thats actually a good idea. I wsh I wasnt so lazy. I still havent done mine. I hve the washers and all to space it. Just havent done it. The bushings sound much better though.

 

Jegs has body bushings and suspension bushings.........set of 8 for $23 on the suspension bushings.........htere is a 800 number too and they are great with info as to measurments............before the internet we had to call long distance and find some old guy who was a master at building crap to get the right part..........now it is jsut easy.......LOL
