I have a few questions.

were going to tackle putting seats in a tc soon.
these are stupid questions but I want to make sure we have everything covered. I don't want to be in the middle of doing the install and have to run to the hardware store lol

so what have you guys used to space the seats up?
Did you have to get a longer bolt when you spaced them up?

Also was it hard to attach the bracket to the sea?

I installed two different sets of corbeau's in my old wrx years back and the brackets were a pain in the **** to get on to the seat .

I'm guessing after 5 years they have had time to fix this problem hopefully.

I bought washers to space mine up and still havent done it I need to tho. Wife wants the passenger side done bad!!
I think the bolt will be long enough.

Attaching the bracket is cake, for the brands I used. ZERO issues at all. Only slight issue is those allen bolts dont want to stay tight. Every few months, I have to tighten 2 of the bolts. Loc Tite would be good!!.

Install is pretty darn easy!!

thanks Nick. When spacing it up how big of a spacer should i get for front and back? Wouldn't the front need to be just a tad bit higher than the back?

And since i'm gonna be running a quick release setup should I even worry bout connecting the air bag sensor?

nice write up and the seats look great. do you actually drive with the seats reclined that far back? LOL. seems a bit dangerous.

how much lower does this sit you in the car?? cause i would loveeee to be sitting lower.. im 6'3" and love my tc but this car is too small for me, my head is always rubbing and hitting the ceiling and gets uncomfortable and annoying ... if these racing seats add some style, as well as lower me down, i am very very interested... please reply!! thanks =)

I don't have any exact measurements, but I would guess at least an inch lower... When I autox with stock seats, my helmet hits the edge of the sunroof opening a tiny bit and it get a bit annoying. When I had the CR1s installed I didn't have that problem.

And I'm 6'3", about 215 lbs.

I`m going to give this a try right now and see if it solves my Airbag light issue. The current resistor fix posted in the DIY section doesn`t match what my 05 TC has for connectors under the seat.

Thanks for posting TcPete!

Thumbs up

Success! I SCAVENGED the harness and the little black magnetic module from the OEM seat and no more srs light. Now I can get the car inspected. LOL

Thanks TcPete for pointing out the easy way to solve this in an 05 tc.
