And here's a pic. Pretty much unchanged from over a year and a half ago when the pic was taken.

I'll be looking for another 1976 Celica GT liftback next year. Its time to build another one the way I had my first one back in 1982.

You know, if it weren't for the Pontiac dash with it's crap Delco radio and cheesy guages, I would've bought one a year ago. How they could've kept the Corolla S instruments out of the Matrix is beyond me.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

That is prolly the only downside about the Matrix. Everything is great and I love packing it full of gear when I go to p'ball tourneys.

Am i the only one who likes the inside? i thought it was pretty koo even though pontiac has the same thing but the guages in the 04 are better than the 03.

from my understanding. . . the Vibe/Matrix are BASED off the Corolla, using its underpinnings, but it is a seperate car; a joint venture project between GM and Toyota, which is why it is built out of the Nummi plant. I believe that the Corolla is no longer produced there (as it is no longer a joint venture project). I don't work for Toyota, so I don't exactly have 100% of the facts, but I do have inside information ;-) . Secondly, that is what scared me about the Matrix, as I refuse to buy anything out of the Nummi plant, not to say it is a bad car. . . I have no idea, I just get scared. But being that it has a Toyota badge, I'm sure the company places the highest quality standards they place on all their vehicles. The true version of the Corolla wagon/hatch is called the Corolla Verso, and is an entirely different car, although they share similarities.

and the xA is a mini matrix (or close enough). . . which is why I liked it. It's not a clone, and has some pretty big distinctions, but I have to admit, they are similar.

But saying that they are identical would be to call the xB a mini-Element. . . baaaaaaaaaaarrrf!!!!!!!! Mini-Element it is NOT!
