is this rumor true???
Because of the recall yes but also 2 of the big 3 have really made a push in the past ten to years in increase the quality of their line.

Going over the US sales, Toyota is TANKING. #3 in January, barely ahead of Honda and Nissan, and Toyota sales include Scion. Their sales went down 19%, where everyone else is improving. VW up 40%, Chevy up 36%, Ford up 25%, Hyundai up 24%. However, Toyota wasn't the only one with a massive loss in sales, Pontiac, Hummer, Saab, and Saturn saw negative spikes. See what I did there?

Nope, and Toyota's approach to the problem is going to hurt them even more than the recall itself. They've known about the problem for a while, they CHOSE to ignore it and not issue a recall.
