I would also like to know when the '07 xA/xB and perhaps the 3.0 xA gets released. I don't wanna buy too early and regret it.

I read somewhere we'll hear about xA/xB news in June/July, but I can't confirm that.

 

So that's saying the 2007 tC will come out in June sometime? Shouldn't they have the 2007 on their website by now then? June is only 10 days away...

 

I dont' know. Toyota has the 2007 Yaris, Camry, and FJ cruiser out. Honda has their Fit out (I'm not sure if the new Si is an ’07 or not). I'd assume Scion would be updating soon, but then again, they haven't even released the new RS3.0 xA yet.

 

07 tC's will be at the showrooms towards the end of june/beginning of july

 

I heard from an insider that the xA/xB are currently being redesigned in a very hush-hush way, with both likely to hit the market early next year.

The guy told me that both will be getting a major body redesign, somewhat spurred on by the fact Honda, Nissan and Ford are going to release new models ripping off Scion designs (Nissan Cube being the main one). The xB is supposedly going to have the 4cyl 2.4 litre camry engine. I don't know any details on the xA.

He also told me the tC is going to get some changes, though not a redesign. From what I just read about the tC spec package, it seems like his inside scoop is bearing out so far.

Bear in mind I cannot vouch for the authenticity of this info, but the guy who told me is pretty high up in Toyota/Scion. I don't think he would have lied about it.

 

You meant the Nissan Cube right? I don't think the current model would sell well in America, it's as weird as the new bB. We'll see though, I've been waiting for others besides Honda to come out with true Scion competitors. Not so that I can shop for one, but rather so that I can make even better claims to Scion's success!

i just bought my tc this past weekend. a few dealers told me that the 2007 won't be available til the end of summer/fall.
i don't know how reliable THEY are but an acquaintance who works for Toyota corporate told me the same thing.
i tried asking on scion.com but that person just said "we don't have that information at this time. "

 

Soon as the 2007 xB goes on sale I'm buying it.

they are not releasing the xA and xB for 2007. they will stop production and sell off the remaining cars. they are releasing a RS 3.0 xA and RS 4.0 xB this year. they are supposed to be pretty wild. in early 2007 the 2008 models are supposed to be released. they will not share the current name or look of the old models. the xB's replacement will use the 2.4 litre camry engine and will have around 160 hp. the tC will have a 2007 model that will receive a minor facelift.

 

Are you positive on that? Where are you getting that info from? Do you have a date for the RS3.0 and 4.0?

 

I've been gathering info on it from multiple sources on this site. Some of them are dealers or work for scion. I'm not postive but it's coming from different people from around the country and they are all saying the same thing. It seems pretty reliable IMO.

As for the RS models I have no idea when they will be released.

Not sure of 2007 but by this time in 04' the 05's were already being sold so who knows for sure except freakin Toyota/Scion Corp.

 

I'm not sure about the xA. but various independent sources from all over the internet have listed that the xB replacement will use a 2.4L engine.
