Default HATE the multiple sponsor threads!

I would be happy to see a rule that sponsors/vendors can post up ONE new advertising thread per day. So rather than a vendor basically spamming the entire 1st page of the new posts search, one thread for every item they have on sale, why not have ONE post titled "Latest Sale items" or something similar? I personally stop even looking at a vendor 100% due to this. Just like I dont buy items from companies that spam mail me or put junk mail in my inbox.

I realize that sponsors pay to advertise here, but the reason for the forums is the user posts, the far secondary are advertisements. And I think having a one thread per day limit would suffice for advertising.

I hate clicking on todays posts and seeing a page of threads, most of which from Assualtech or similar vendors.

I think this is pretty relevant for the Website Discussion as it should really be considered.

I definitely agree that it is annoying for the page to basically be flooded whenever a sponsor updates/bumps their many threads. And it's not like it is only one of them. They all have a ton of threads.

i definately agree with this; especially when trying to view new posts and you see 10 threads in a row of vendor having some sale; like engifineer said they are sponsors and pay for it, but just gets annoying trying to read through

Glad I am not the only one

I just wish sponsors would realize this is a car enthusiasts thread by priority, advertising is a distant second in the eyes of the forum members. I view 10 separate threads as spam, and thus wont read one of them.

If the sponsors just participated in threads in which there products would solve or assist with they wouldn't need to have a million threads for each item they sell. I agree it is annoying but the way to drive revenue is to engage the population set which many of them do not. This forum is setup in such a way that all items sponsors sell fit into a category, if they came into the thread and posted pics, etc. of their products or more importantly describe the usefulness of their product it would mean more. I absolutely do not go into the sponsored sales at all....I say that with very few exemptions TRD Sparks being one of them.

I just think, especially since there is no time limit on editing posts here, that a simple "X Sponsor - Current items and sales" thread would suffice. Then they can edit it regularly and bump it to the top. So if I wanted to see TRD Sparks current promotions I could simply click on their thread and read it. Hell, they could even sticky each one.
