how come some mods just can't lock a thread? and they have to have the last word?

How come people post in website discussion as a Guest so no one knows who they are when they're complaining about a mod?
Some questions in life just don't have answers...
Kidding aside... if there's more that needs to be addressed between two individuals, it should be via PM from that point anyways.
