Default Lock!

I started a thread about buying a used or new pulley and it turned into a group buy thread....well, it's gone! I don't know what happened to it! I did ask for it to be moved if need be, and Evildave moved it to xB N/A, but it's GONE! Did I do something wrong?

Another Mod has temporarily moved the topic to a non-accessible area until a question about it is answered, Robyn,

That's all I really know about it. Hopefully it will be back soon - and hopefully this won't mess up the super-short timeframes involved with this group buy opportunity.

I ofund out what happened to it. Is there ANY way I can get access to it to appologize to everyone for myself AND scionlife for losing it? I was really counting on this as was a lot of others. I asked and asked what I needed to do and even sent a 'warn' to the mods about what to do...but yet it gets deleted! Sorry all! NO GROUP BUY ON THE PERRIN PULLEY....

Ummm.... I think that the mods are going to bring it back, but they are trying to get the seller as a sponsor so it is legit. Hold tight...

Thats alright. I asked and asked what to do and I thought everything was cool. There are two other vendors waiting to do it also. Stylus being one of them. I'll just get one off eBay...I just feel bad for all the other people that jumped on the bandwagon...I have no way to tell them what is going on...Oh well...

Robyn you have been told at least twice, now, that the topic is TEMPORARILY removed from access until a question about the group buy can be resolved. The thread is not "LOST," nor is it "DELETED."

^^^Yes, Tomas, I can read, and I really don't understand your point to remind me of this. Have I mentioned anything about 'where did my post go' on my last post? No. I simply stated that I figured out where it went and was going to go another route...being that I never have been involved with a GB before and there are other ways to get the job done. If that is YOUR way of telling me to 'hang in there, we are figuring it out right now', you failed miserably and frankly sounds quite rude the way you put it.

It is now up to another party to become a silver sponsor of this site in order for the group buy to continue. I am not going to wait for someone else to become a sponsor just so I can buy from THAT particular sponsor/vendor, nor should I have to wait. Stylus was more than ready to do the group buy as well as another but I don't know the status of these two vendors/dealers.

As stated above...do whatever with whatever posts and delete this one or lock it or put it in the post/thread vault or whatever you do with them....

P.S. I call you by your name because it is your username. I would appreciate you not using my real name and refer to me as my username on this public forum please. You have done this numerous times and I hope you would respect my wishes on this topic in the future. I would AND DO respect you enough to do the same. Thank you.

P.S.S. If the GB is going to continue after Peruzzi gets his 'silver sponsor' deal or with another vendor, could a Mod at least send a PM to the other posters that were interested to let them know whats going on with it? Or will the thread just come back to wherever it was before? Just asking...

Calm down.

Yes, Tomas, I can read, and I really don't understand your point to remind me of this.
I responded as I did because even after getting an answer as to exactly what had happened (the thread had been temporarily moved) you posted the following:
Is there ANY way I can get access to it to appologize to everyone for myself AND scionlife for losing it? I was really counting on this as was a lot of others. I asked and asked what I needed to do and even sent a 'warn' to the mods about what to do...but yet it gets deleted!
An no , what I was telling you was exactly what I said in my post (and you had not appeared to understand that after my first answer). Rude? No. Direct? Yes.

I call you by the name you registered with, that until today was displayed in your profile. I do that in probably 80-90% of my responses to people. Saying "Hi, greenfrograindrops, how's the family" is pretty ridiculous when the person's registered name is right there in public view. If you do not wish to have your name known by anyone interested, removing it, as you so recently have, is sensible.

Complaining about me addresssing you by the name you had publicly displayed in your profile is a cheap shot. I would also suggest that polite requests work much better than getting in a snit.

Per your request, this thread is now locked.

This is the first time that something like this has happened, guys, so we had to temporarily move the topic to decide on how to handle it.

You see, we have a rule that only site sponsors can do group buys or create commercial posts. The reason is because it costs money to run this site and we simply ask that anyone making a profit help to support the site.

In THIS case the group buy was started by someone that simply wanted a part at a good price... and was seeking a seller. We weren't sure how to handle it because the POINT of the thread was to help Scion owners and not for the author to make a profit... but once a seller entered the picture there was someone using the forums to make a profit -- and it fell under our general sponsor rule.

I apologize for the confusion, next time something like this happens we will be able to handle it more efficiently.
