Is it possible for you block out SIGNATURES when doing searches? Many, including myself, list mods in their sigs, thus the threads they post in will show up in searches when the thread itself is not relavent to the search keyword(s)...

 

Hmmmmmmmmm... I'll have to check that out.

Just searched for "secrets" posted by me (a word in my .sig) and only found the one actual post that I used the word in...

Er, no...

The ONLY thing that came back in my search was the one legit post I've made with that word in the body - if it were also seeing the word in my .sig during a search, it would have brought back something like 4500+ results.

I guess what I'm saying is the search worked correctly for me.

Am I missing something?

Hmm. I don't know then. I've seen it happen on a couple of occasions, but can't remember what I searched for. If it's fine then sorry, and lock this up! =]

 

I wonder if maybe it's a difference in how the 'little search window' works and how the advanced search using the search button works? I always use the search button...

I just searched for two words in my .sig (secrets n00bies) using the little search window, and came up with nothing - no results - not found - so I don't know what you are seeing.
