The only place I've found the LEDs, hotbox05, is on Oznium. Will you offer any links?

I soldered new leds into my gauge closter and instrument panel. The only problem Is I cant get the led i soldered in for "N" netural working. I have p, d, r, 2, l lighted up in blue led, but for some reason the neutral led doesnt work... I tried 3 different leds on that connection point and it still didnt work. Did I somhow burn out the connection points on the mothebrpard for the N logo? Is there a way to fix this, although its not that big of a deal.

I installed a pair of blue 'corvettes' from Oz today. Plastic backing on them is much softer than the stock ones, and they really started to tear up from the screwdriver. Lights up the center dial perfectly, but could be brighter on the AC/Defrost buttons and the far left and far right dials. Stock bulb sort of does the same, I suppose.

Now to get the stock radio in blue...

Any Scion/Toyot dealer rep, please ask your parts dept. to find out the size for us, thanks

Dave

Thumbs up

While not interested in changing lamp colors, I found the instructions very helpful in gaining the courage and confidence to take off the center console and removing the recessed white control panel... without causing any damage.

I discovered that the cable to the air plenum control had broken about an inch from the control shaft.

Now, to ponder how to either fix the cable or replace it.
Hmm...

Keeping it simple. Glass paint from Michaels or Amazon. Paint it twice or until the color gets dark. This is for the diehard custom fan. Just another way to get it done.

The covers work great to and are cheeper, as already illustrated.

Thanks for the helpful information here.

New member here-apologies if repeating any information.

My vehicle is 2005 xB.

I removed dash radio surround piece yesterday afternoon and got 2 bulbs at Mountain States Toyota here in Denver.

Replacement HVAC bulbs on the back of the radio surround were part number:

90010-09017

Came in clear with no rubber slip on cover-some say 'jimmies" or "condoms"

Bulbs that came out had a yellow condom over each one. I tried suggestion of the guy at the parts counter and used some green nail polish over the new bulbs. A bit too much coverage, but at least I can tell where the dials are now.

Quick questions:

1/ Is it true there is no ashtray light source?

2/ No light behind the rear defroster switch when not in use?
