Less than two months and the material on the bolster is fraying and there's a worn spot on the seat portion. Has anybody else had this problem??

I have the same exact problem. I know the car is cheap, but wear like that within a short period of time is crazy.

:!:
Shouldn't that be covered under the warrantee?
I would show your Toyota dealer and ask.

looks like velcro on your pants did all the wearing....BTW are fabric is nearly identical to my stepmoms 2004 Rav4....

The new Solara has seat material that looks just like the ones in the Scions, doesn't seem that cheap to me.

Someone else had mentioned velcro, but the wear isn't where I wear pants with velcro.

It is hard for me to tell with the photos, but a quick fix is to take a de-linter, the electric kind, and run it over the surface. It will cut (shave) all the little fuzz off and make it look dang near new. I did that on a couch and it worked great.

My seat did this after I repeatedly set my hand on the same place on the seat while I was driving. Apparently, the oil on your skin also wears the seat. I kind of thought the word cheap came to mind, too, but I haven't found any seat covers that actually fit the seats, so oh well. Either way, I'd also bet it is covered under warranty. If you check it out, please post your findings.

man, that sucks about your seats. That was one thing that i was kinda worried about happening with my car. I haven't had my car that long, but I was thinking about getting seat covers or something to protect the fabric.

The other day I was looking at www.wetokole.com and looks like they have a sale on their seat covers for scion. - still kinda pricey, but i know the seat covers are a really good fit.

not sure if i wanna spend that much money on seat covers or just change my interior to leather once it gets worn out. I wonder how much leather would be? hmm.

I've had my scion xA for a year now and my drivers seat hasn't had that problem. I was thinking velco might be the problem but i guess it's not. It should be covered under warranty.

As for the wet okole, they do have a great fit and are really good. But like you said, they are pricey.

After you hopefully get your seat replaced, go to Costco and pick up a pair of their sheepskin seat covers. They fit the front seats just fine. Don't recall the exact price, think they run around $30 apiece..

I'm still considering switching to leather, but so far I haven't really liked the way the tc leather looks in the pictures I've seen.

the look of the leather all depends who does it, some ive seen tight leather and soem places have it sort of baggyish. i dont really like the look of it all tight.
