Been doing a little research lately trying to find a more viable alternative to a turbo kit for the xD. So I figured if the Corolla/Matrix share our engines as well as the 2AZ, hell maybe we can toss one in the xD.
According to Garm from Micro Image I am told that the left mount and the trans mount are the same. The right-side engine mount is different in the xD, but that shouldn't be a big deal.
I'm going to try and hit up a Scion dealer today to take a look at the difference for the two. Maybe bring some measuring tape :p If it all works out, for about 4g or so you can put a 200hp s/c engine in a 2600lb xD :shock:

I could see someone doing the swap and then putting a modified Dezod turbo kit on it...

if you can get vvtl-i and a 3s-gte in an xd.. 2az should be able to work lol .. but your price mite be alil off if ur gonna add a supercharger in there lol

Ran into a friend at softball with a tC

1) Left mounts are in the same area
2) Radiator looks like it may need to be pushed forward for the xD
3) 2AZ may interfere with A/C line placement.
4) Battery needs to be placed elsewhere in the car

Gonna try to talk to some shops in the area and see if we can come up with some figures or plans

interesting concept. that'd be pretty cool seeing a 2AZ in an xD.

Boosted xD > 2az-fe swap. You'd be faster and have more money in your wallet left over.
