Hey Guys!
I have a question for anyone who can answer. I have a 2011 Tc with a stock audio system, When playing at high volume with fairly moderate bass, typically dubstep music, the audio will just stop playing. The radio still works, doesn't show any errors however there is no audio until I shut the car off and start it again.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Sounds like a thermal overload protection is being triggered. People call this "going into protect mode" on aftermarket audio systems. It happens when you are working the system harder than it is designed for too long. It's designed to keep the audio equipment from melting/ catching on fire.

Def going into protect mode. Your problem is You're trying to make a 15 watt system pump out dub step.

I've never had this problem and I push my system every day. I have the Alpine HU and I have my gains set to cruise at volume level 53.

Lol a genre of music that is heavy in bass...usually in a rippling effect. It stemmed from house music but has a less consistent rhythm.
