Default Swapping TPMS from old to new rim?

I have a bent up rim and am planning on buying a new one at the dealer. I was told that I would need to have the tire pressure sensor installed as well.

Well, I am thinking of just removing the old sensor and putting it into the new rim myself. They want to charge me $350+ for this. So my question is, is it fairly simple to do and would I be able to reset the sensor myself? Keep in mind this tire is also getting replaced. Or are there any other issues I am overlooking?

Thats way tooooo much money, if your want just buy the rim at the dealer and go to a tire place and have them do the swap, it'll be waaaaayyyy cheaper should be less than 80.00 thats with them putting your tpms sensor and new tire on. Also theirs no need in resetting anything I did it with mine, 4 new rims and all I paid was 75.00 thats with them swapping my tpms sensors from my old rims and putting them in my new rims and installing tires and balanced.

Oh yea to remove the sensor you'll need a special type of key if im not mistaken

How much are they charging you for the rim & tire or is it just the rim?
