Need recommendations for tC sound upgrades.
Alright, time for me to upgrade my tC sound system.
I don' want to change the deck out yet (if ever). If I ever do change it, I'm going to put DVD/navi in there, but don't need or really want it right now, so I'm content with the stock HU.
Does anyone know the specs on the speakers? I really am not sure if I need to replace these or not, but I'd rather not have to if they are in the least bit decent.
I do want to amp the speakers and have heard some mention of only amping the fronts (front 2 or 4?) and not amping the back 2 (disconnect them completely, or just not amp them?). Does anyone have any good recommendations for amps to go with the stock tC speakers?
Also, I want to get subs in the back. I hear 10" mentioned as the standard for the tC (dual or single?). Again any recommendations on amps/subs would be helpful.
I was a producer/DJ for quite a while so I'm decently up on sound but have never done car audio before, so I'm pretty lost. Is it something I can install my self with relative ease or am I going to need to get it professionally installed.
Any other help or tips would be great. Thanks.

if I were you, I'd replace the stock front speakers with a component set, and an amp for them...... then get another amp and your subs.....
the stock speakers are pretty good....but they're only pretty good for OEM.... try to amp them and you'll run a good chance of frying them..... look into Elemental Design 6000s components....they run like $125 on sale at www.edesignaudio.com .... an eD nine.2 amp will power them perfectly.... eD also has great subs and amps....fair prices too....PM mandos on here and he can hook you up with a ScionLife discount.....
