if you goto Elitecaraudio.com and ask for a guy named "Dom" he recoils the original altenators of the Scion xB to idel 100amp and max 200amp and from what i hear from everyone thats gone to him they have never had any problems with thier altenator after the modification.

I have a 220 amp Iraggi alternator. You can search for Dominic Iraggi on termpro.com, caraudioforum.com or elitecaraudio.com and he can hook you up. You WILL spend less than $400 shipped.

I actually had it tested when the engine was hot and it does 160 amps at idle. I was extremely pleased with that number! The guy that tested it was shocked and said he had never seen an alternator do that unless it was on a semi-truck. Of course keep in mind I am living in Germany and that was in a small town...lol.

ya dom does a pretty good job. i just find it odd, he said that some of the recoil jobs sometimes have alot more idle ampage then what he says he can give you.

the estimates he gave me was either a 90amp idle and 180amp max recoil and a 100amp idle and 200max. this was some time ago though, he may have come up with higher power ones since then.
