I was wonder if anyone has put subs under thier back seats... I was looking at it and thought it would be a good place to hide some 10's.. anyone have any comments? i am not sure whats underneath it all yet. But i am assuming probably the gas tank...

I have a PS2 and my video distro amps under the seat, it's a bit sung under there, you're not gonna fit 10's. theres about 9 inches of depth front to back and only about 4-5 top to bottom. but it's as wide as the seat if that's a plus

You're not going to get very good sound sticking subs under there. The foam is like 6" thick front to back. You're better off under-floor in the rear with the subs, and sticking amps under the rear seat.

I dont see any chance of any size sub fitting underneath the rear seat. Depth is not a problem, but the heighth will be a big problem.

Negative Ghostrider, that was for the Gen 1 xB, not for Gen 2. I waited for a while for them to redesign it for the Gen 2 and they were unable to, not enough space.

Hmmm slim fit 10" ehhh... i might make a custom box kinda like there one that goes over the spare tire... I dont want to take out the spare though...

Spacewise it's gonna be tight if you don't for the rear, even flipping the tire over. Under the driver's seat is a lost cause, and the passenger isn't *that* much better. If you want unobtrusive, you can go custom fiberglass along the sides/cubbies, and if you want stealth your only option right now is to remove the spare.

BTW, for the person that said you can go straight across under the rear seat - not quite true, there's a hump in the middle that you'd have to work with/around.

Essentially, your rule for under the rear is 13x9x2 max before you have to cut the seat. (And the 13" has to go side to side, 9" depth is still giong to get a bit of pressure from the seat)

It's their PW-10S but it's not slim. The enclosure is a tad over .6cf, all glass except for an MDF ring. I have a Kicker ZX700.5 driving it (wired for 2ohm) and the rest of my speakers (polks all aound). It sounds nice, granted I'm not at all going for spl but it dosen't do a bad job at all. I have noticed it being a bit boomy around 35-40hz but I'm attributing that more to the enclosure than the sub itself. May build another one and try to eek out a bit more room in it without losing my trunk. I have the SNS for the head and am using a Navone LOC to bring RCAs to the amp.

lvbitwiz, did you use polyfill? It could peak at that frequency because of the box being on the smaller side. The smaller the box, the higher the tuning. The larger the box, the lower. That's why strict SPL guys run tiny boxes with HUUUUGE ports.

The polyfill should help. It'll make the enclosure act larger because it slows down the rear wave of the subwoofer.
