Default The 2006 RAV4 AWD V6! Pretty fast.

Just read about it on www.caranddriver.com.

2006 Toyota RAV4
3.5L V6 269 HP!!!
0-60 in 6.3 Secs with a 5-spd Auto!!! 0.4 sec slower than a Hemi V8 Dodge Magnum.
Standing 1/4-mile: 14.9 sec @ 94 mph. Faster than the 15 sec Mazdaspeed RX-8!

It will be Toyota's 2nd (maybe 3rd) fastest vehicle in it's fleet behind the Avalon.

Toyota has outdone themselves this time

I think the redesigned 06 V6 Camry will also be getting the same engine. So 269hp Camry is possible.

I wish I could afford one. They are coming out with so many nice, powerful cars these days...

Thats pretty quick, enough to match the Subaru Legacy Outback, but still a bit shy of the 2.5GT. Perhaps Toyota should consider importing or producing the Caldina GT-4 here.

You know what would be REALLY cool?

If Toyota actually made affordable performance CARS for the U.S. market.

Its a sad state of affairs when the RAV4 and the Avalon are the two fastest cars in the range. It speaks volumes about what is wrong with the American car market.

How about a tC with those performance numbers instead of another damn SUV?

How sad that people with $3000 in performance mods to their tC's will barely be able to hang with a cute-ute.

SOOOOOO True! Imagine a tC with the 3.5L V6 at 269HP, now that would be fast! Possibly a sub 6 sec 0-60 when mated with a manual tranny.
