If it was posted earlier I missed it, sorry.

Anyway, this thing costs about $50K and they even have a US distributor. I have no idea how they will get around the issues of air bags and a windshield, though.

Still, it is fun to see something like this get the top spot in the 0-100-0 competition over some _very_ exotic supercars. It's kind of an AC Cobra for the 21st century!

It seems to use the S-2000 drivetrain, but with considerable tweaking in the higher performance versions. Normally aspirated is 220HP, supercharged goes up to 300HP. Weight is 1000 pounds.

Here's the 0-100-0 video:

That's nothing...here's an actual car ( doors windshield, etc.) that goes 0-100-0 in 9.9 sec!

Here's some info on it...

Go to the Ultima site. This is truly a kit car, no mention of finished cars being available at all! It has three times the displacement and twice the weight, too.

Although this car has a windshield, I have a feeling that it far from comfortable. Still, it would be fun ride!

Aerial Atom is entierly street leagal in the U.S. for the sole factor it can go over speed bumps..now it may not be legal in cali or somwhere with striceter state laws....but mainly considered for "off road use" but the car can go as fast as you can shift it.

I don't see how speed bumps have much to do with it. Getting it past the federal DOT requirements, which are pretty rigid in the areas of windshields, lighting, and air bags, is a tough nut to crack. There are some companies that do this for exotics, but be prepared to rev up your visa card to do it.
