bah, that oversteer correction was a little much, but still, he didnt end up with awall.

he was going in a little hot too... and that certainly didnt help. My car does the same thing when i go into fast.

that was just my 2nd run, I got 3 vids inside the car but I used the headrest as a camera mount so the view is kinda low, but when I lost it on that turn the in car vid is kinda cool. but I ended up just letting the wheel go and she corrected her self.

I'd have to say, you gotta go as much as you possibly can, there's a lot to be corrected there, I would HIGHLY recommend going auto-crossing and take instructors with you in car and talk with as many experienced autocrossers as you can at events.

The question you have to ask yourself is WHY did the car oversteer uncontrollably?

the answer is because you slammed the throttle, then realized a corner was coming up, completely let off the throttle, started turning, and tapped the brake, and everything combined is exactly what you DON'T want to do.

brake in straight lines only, accelerate out of corners, and take a corner starting from the outside, cutting to the "apex" (center-point of the curve) and move back out the outside, the entire time, you didn't move to either side of the track at all.

I'd also recommend reading a few books, getting the concepts in your mind will really be able to put it to use, I'd recommend Technique of Motor Racing - it's an older book, but everything still applies. also check out Going Faster - Speed Secrets - Speed Secrets II - all of them are good books, but I would recommend them in that order.

Also, if you have a sort of Autocross school, or performance driving school in your area, to CERTAINLY attend, they'll teach you things like "spacial awareness" of your car, what traction really means, the reasons behind smooth inputs, etc etc etc - just remember to PRACTICE - the better the racer you are, the better driver you'll be on the streets. remember that.

BTW - POST THE OTHER VIDS!!!
