how do u make ur rev bounce?
ok ive seen a celica gt-s rev in neutral and it just bounces and stay at 7K when u rev it...like u have launch control....i tried it on mine,, and it goes straight to 6500 and then doesnt bounce....ive seen a Tc do it too.... is it just my car or, did they do sumthin about it... heres a link on youtube where the Tc does it..

well, your car is set with a soft limiter, it pulls fuel and timing, where as the kind that bounce just turn off spark, way harder on the engine that way. soft limiters way better. Why would you ever rev your car like that anyway?
oh here goes mr. i know everything about cars.....i was just wondering if it was just my car thats doing that....wudnt u ask questions if u thought there was sumthing wrong with you car...
you shouldnt try to do something that may potentially damage your car to see if something is wrong.
its not safe for the car to bounce off the rev limiter, and every car can do it, i personally have not been dumb enough to ever rev any of my cars that high when they are in neutral, but if you want to take the chance all you have to do is hold the gas, it will get up there are bounce, 100% not safe, but if you want to do it then its on you, and toyota will be able to tell you were doing that when you take it into the dealer and say " i dont know what happened, it just blew"

what year tC do you have? 07+ doesn't have the "bouncing" limiter...... you alreayd experienced the limiter, that "bog down" feeling. And yes, I can get my car up to 6500 also, but shifting into next gear at RPM creates the "bog" going into the next gear.
see thats what i was gettin, the bogging stuff... thats why if i shifted to late, it bogs, and thats what my friend felt too when they drove it..and they cant figure out why ...and how are u sure that the 07's dont have the bouncing limiter curiousfish?
I have no mechanical evidence as to this happening. I remember a member here, got his 07, and just mashed the pedal in neutral trying to achieve the same as you, the "bouncing limiter". He was questioning why that didnt happen. He said the revs would go up and then stop. As for my own experience, if I shift too close to 6500, I feel the power cut when getting on the gas on the next gear. People were trying to figure out what kind of limiter the 07+ tC's have...... not sure if anyone figured it out.
But the limiter is there for a reason....... I dont use it anymore.
