i think a certain element of auto-x should be mandatory for everyone that has a drviers license.. the roads in america would be so much better if people KNEW HOW TO DRIVE on them.

I think you're absolutely correct. The testing for a drivers license doesn't even touch on the dynamics of weight transfer and tire loading. People need to know how cars will behave in 'at the limit' situations. If everone was required to do a few hours of autox there also would be less of a need for all the electronic nannies common in cars today.

There should be a semi easy auto-x course that you have to finish in a certain amount of time. Like a video game.

You're mean license tests like in Gran Tourismo? Those would help for sure.

 

it should be handicapped for certain cars, but you should have to complete it in whatever car(s) you are insured to drive.

when i did mazda rev it up w/ my friends a few years ago b4 i had any intentions of actually racing when i got older(cause i m so old now), we realized not only were they teaching u how to race, but every practice/hands on instructional type thing tought u how to react to diff real world situations. maybe one day i'll convince my younger sister to come to an event and dual drive my car(as much as she hates the xB), she might learn some stuff even if she does drive an MDX(Acura SUV for those of u that dont know).
