That's nothing for a mustang. There's PLENTY of stangs that are sub-10 second cars.

 

Fair enough, your entitled to your opinion. However, we do take precautions not to involve innocent people. The road we race on (should you be challenged) is a two lane highway with no city lights on it. It's about 1 am, with literally NO traffic on it. If something were to happen, then you have only yourself to screw up (which would be the same if on a track), to which we go to the track as well.

I plan on visiting BeachBend (1/4 track about an hr away) as soon as I get a more solid tune on the car.

3) Never said Mustangs CAN'T be fast

4) Seen 8 sec Civics, Seen 8 Sec. Supras, seen 8 Sec. Skylines....Anything can be made to go fast. We already have one ScionLife member in the 9's with a N/A'ed Scion Motor with only 300hp.

FYI...Stock TC's do not do 16.9 in the 1/4 mile. They are not even rated that slow dude. Search here on the boards and you will find the tC is a mid 15 sec car STOCK. If you really believe that I can knock of nearly 2 sec's in the 1/4 with just the addition of an exhaust...then by god, my girl and I must be SOME HELLA Good drivers. As she was clicking 15.1's and 15.2's in the 1/4 as well.

Oh, you mentioned that you were talking about the S/C for the tC. I am not that big on the S/C, but some people buy them for the warranty. I don't find it very cost effective, imo, and I agree with you about the S/C. But turbo TC is a different ball game and here is my latest vid with one of our Scikotics members...Just to show you how much of a difference the S/C is compared to a T/C'ed tC

It's time to man up and answer the question about how fast your car is. and if you say it's no 1/4 "queen" (odd wording) then you're obviously lacking in torque yourself bro... Road races are all about HP. I like how you talk about only putting a Grand into a cobra to hang run 12's... last time I checked cobra's weren't exactly cheap. so your telling me that it's more economical to buy a cobra and invest 1000 bucks than to turbo a 17,000 scion. LOL... You mustang guys crack me up. You're so overprotective of your precious little pony cars. You're absolutely hate the thought that there are other cars out there faster than you. LOL, the pics of the blue slowstang , whoevers it is, it's so obvious that it's a V6, the small rims are a dead give away. And if you go back thru the thread and read my previous posts, The mustang I raced was a brand new one, 05-06 body style, and it said GT on it in the middle below the trunk. My tC wasn't stock, but I didn't put more than 800 dollars into it. So that brings me to about 19,000 dollars total. How much did that new GT stang cost. Enough difference to go buy a turbo for my tC and make cobras cry. Come on man, you drive a METOO car. " I have a mustang. ME TOO!" THe only reason they still make the stang is because that the vast majority are V6's (like yours) and are bought by little girls (like you) which keeps costs low, and alows ford to sell the more expensive GT models. Mustangs are so over rated, and the market for them is oversaturated.
PS: man with xB has no place to talk crap in a forum involving turbo tC's and GT mustangs. The only ting you can brag about is your fuel economy. Don't be stupid.

 

don't go bashing me when you haven't read the whole thread. yes I drive a xB and I brag about its gas efficency and that's why I bought it as a daily, but ill glady race you in my honda anytime.

and I didn't suport mustangs in anyway besides the fact that I said a foxbody mustang gt is by far the best bang for the buck in a power to price ratio, which is true.

LOl... i've been following this thread from day one. Besides a b16 motor swap and gutting the car what else have you done to your honda? After Rhythmsmoke walked a 350Z in his tC, you think you're gonna run all over him. HAHA! The stock 350Z runs a low 14 in the 1/4 mile, easily pushed to high 13's. Which is right around a GT mustang. So why don't you turn around, and tell all the mustang guys that you have a N/A stripped down, Civic hatch that will stomp their GT mustangs....Go ahead, start a new thread, and we'll be right back to sqare one. Import turner with 4banger claiming to have defeated beloved V8 american muscle car.

 

my first car was a 99 gt and it sucked. it sucked from a roll it revved slow and breathed hard, downshifts were non existenet and it couldn't grab the road for anything. For anyone who knows, the hp and tq numbers mean nothing its not the same car. Ponys frame twist when you drop the hammer due to poor engineering an dbeing a rwd it losses more power to the wheels and has no weight over the wheels so it grabs nothing. I know because i have been building prostreet, prostock cars with the family race team for 14 years so the stang can suck it. it not about just horspower, if it was people wouldn't spend thousands in engine dampneres bushinds and suspension. you have no idea what you are talking about so stop copy and pasting numbers for your littlegt or svt or big bad stock v6 and learn what racing is all about. DA motorsports for life. I love my TC and i will go to anything in a heart beat. I beat a nova SS with a 2 stage bottle in a single turbo 91 gsr so its not the numbers bigger isnt better
