a guy i work with has been wanting to race me, he owns an rx8. we go behind where we work at after work and get a couple of us together. Charger R/T, and the Rx8. and all the others that were watching. I ended up running the rx8 6 times. first couple of races, he gave me the jump. i took off really good every time. i ended up beating him 4 out of 6, 4 being heads up launching at the same time after lights from a distant car. then i ran the charger, that was just murder, i would get infront of him then he would pass by so damn quick.. i like them chragers now

funny thing is everyone thought i was going to get owned rofl.... but did pretty good. i might try to get the rx8 to race tomorrow night and i will video tape.

Yeah umm ... must not know how to drive b/c RX-8s are fast, light and they sound mean as hell when they hit that high revving. Mmmmm. Congrats though. I would pretty much never race a Charger R/T ... hahaha ... that would be funny.

 

the rx8 is a stick, the dude obviously doesnt know how to drive it, but hey them cars are slow

 

yeah, the rx8 ain't a fast car. it isn't a dragster, it is all about the twisties. so yeah, a good tc driver can take an rx8 in a straight line. ofcourse it is totally understandable that you would lose to 4000 pounds of detroit v8 muscle. it is the only thing they are good at. so let him have his straight-line performance while you have better mpg and handling looks. or come back with a stage 1 turbo and show him whats really up.

LOL....what RX8 you been looking at? Those things are slow. Not saying that the tC is fast in stock form, but it does not cost $25k bucks either. That car is slow as hell for the price you pay for it.

And that Charger would see the opposite end of your tC if your tC was boosted.

 

My favorite are the videos Rhyno posted of him racing an RX-8(amongst others) at the flashlight drags. He may have sent the RX-8 owner back to the Mazda dealership to see if anything was broken...

i own an auto rs1 and was asked to race a stick RX-8. first race i left him behind by like three cars. he said something about not switching the traction control. we came to a light. we went on green and he took me by like two cars. then we went one last time and he stayed way back burning out. this guy cant drive stick.
