Probably was an evo, just not pushing it at all.... or a ralliart (160hp) that WAS pushing it.
The standard lancers are pathetic, something like 120hp... at least 17 seconds in the 1320.
A ralliart and a tC are a great match, with slight advantage to the lancer.

well, i guess this is where i should chime in...lol. As i stated before, 1) there were passengers in the car, and 2) i'm pretty sure he was at WOT because i could smell his exhaust spewing out hydrocarbons....anyway, i didn't put this up here to create a debate. It was fund while it lasted and both of us were suprised when we got to the light. Anyway as stated before, sometimes it comes down to the driver. I know if i had an Evo, i would baby the mess outta that thing...well...most of the time..lol.

All cars can be modified differently and tC's can be made to go faster then Cars that are faster then the tC Stock..
Sometimes if comes down to who has a faster engine and sometimes it comes down to who the better driver is..
there are so many variables that now one can describe them all on here in their race stories or w/e
but people are ignorant and only know how to belittle others cuz that makes them feel better..
i've seen POS cars take NICE expensive cars before not in a straight line but in autocrossing and Etc..
if u don't have the whole story u shouldn't debate.
Retrospectively an Evo will take a tC the majority of the time but NOT ALWAYS...

there is no way a stock tC from a 40 roll can walk an evo while they are racing

Iono, I've beaten lots of cars in my old Saturn. The trick is strategy. All the best generals of yore used some kind of trick to win battles so you must do the same. If you ambush your opponent, you can beat him without him knowing the race even started. I beat a Ferrari this way once. I think the OP did the same to the Evo; beat it without it knowing. Quit flaming him; obviously he's a military genious. Obviously.

one time i took a lotus across the line.......like i said..across the line...that was it...noting is impossible....maybe his engine was going to crap..soome people run their engine all the wrong way...no airfilter...dirt...engine goes to crap..maybe he was one of those poeple in the evo???? ive taken a95 Z28 in a 03 Cavalier, and took a 1500 chevy truck...only cause i could top at 108..him 100..never question...

Modded for Modded, there simply is no comparing a modded EVO and a modded tC. If you want to talk value for the dollar, you may have some kind of arguement. But in terms of sheer performance capability, it's a completely different league. Chassis flex, composure, driving characteristics, transmission. . .
The EVO block is fundamentally a MUCH stronger engine. I'm no EVO fan (I would never own one), but I'm honest.

but on the real though... Evos are monsters off the line... but dont live up to the hype on the freeway... when i was boosted... on the freeway evos were whateverz... off the line is something different though... unless you got slicks or really practiced ur launches..
