yeah sucky has hell driver.... intake, header and exhaust should put a rsx-s in the mid 14's add a K-pro ecu and your looking at low 14's of course this is with a awesome driver and not your typical joe shmoe

chances are if you have the same type of mods as listed above and your a good driver you could run with a stock rsx-s ... they run low 15's stock

i thought a stock rsx-s uns 14.9 avg stock. if they dont even break 14's, what a huge waste of money. arent they like $23000? you can get much quicker cars for that money

the last year they made them in 06 they where selling for 24k... the 05-06 where slightly faster then the older ones. you would probably see these hitting a even 15 or very high 14 with a extremely good driver... however most people have the 02-04 which run usually around 15.2-15.3 with a good driver

i have been a member of CRSX for about a year now and i have only come across maybe a handful of people breaking into 14's stock and its almost always a 05-06 ... so its not something you see everyday even at that forum.

they are not very fast stock but they take very very well to bolt ons and FI

Bump...

Chances are if the tC driver had the same type of mods as listed above, with a good driver, he would be running High 14's, not low 15's. You can run low 15's basically stock. Perhaps an intake added, but how much does that add...lol.

It's the same with the Civic SI as it is with an RSX Type S. Run them from a dig, and they have to play catch up till about 80mph. Then they can pass you because of the V-tec.

x3 I've raced my friends SI many times off a dig. The TC wins all the way till 4th gear. After that, he passes me up.

It's called Torque. In my old 1.8T VW, totally stock with a little less torque than a tC, I used to run my buddy's totally stock Type-S. With a good launch I could jump at most a car length on him and stay there until he hit 3rd gear. Once he hit third he would just catch up and pull away.

I ran a 15.3 stock in my VW so I'd guess his Type-S stock was running around 15.2(he never went to the track with it). At the end of the 1/4 I was right at redline in 3rd, and at that point whenever we raced he was usually a little ahead.

Of course after I was chipped he could never catch me haha. They're badass top end cars, but from a dig their torque, or lack of, makes them play catch up.

Dont get me wrong i love my tc but performance wyze we have no chance with cars like that. you get what you pay for remember that a rsz type s goes for mid 30,000 we are around 18

LOL....a stock Type S doing high 13's low 14's...bro get real. A stock 350z does that, and it chews up and spits out a Type S RSX. You don't know what your talking about. Show me a high 13, low 14sec stock Type S.

A tC with maybe an intake will run 15.1 - 15.2 with a decent driver. On a good day someone will see a 15.0 flat. Check out the 1/4 mile and 1/8th mile sticky thread up top.

Performance wise we can't compete with cars like that.....BHAHAHAA!!! Bro, an RSX isn't exactly a super car. You need to take your car back to the dealer if you don't know what it's capable of.

And OMG! Mid 30k for a Type S....SERIOUSLY....I know this is a joke right. Someone can't be this dumb. Please tell me you are joking for sure. If you are not joking, may God help your soul.

I've raced RSX-S's at the strip and it was a damn good race every time. I'd win roughly by 3/4 car unless I didn't shift at the right time.

Also, same mods. Intake, header, full exhaust. I have pulleys as well as an engine damper.

Where does one get this UniChip and what kind of power does it net? Sorry, i'll do a search after this. Promise.

^^don't get a Unichip. I would look at other options for engine management before turning to a Unichip.

Can someone remind me how street racing qualifies as "Autosports"?

Unless I'm mistaken, street racing only qualifies as a good way to end up in:
a) the side of a minivan
b) jail
c) all of the above

It's as if nobody realizes that the car modifying scene gets profiled by the police and stereotyped by the media and discriminated against by the law... because of threads like these.

There are no Mini vans where I have raced. Jail on the other hand....that's still an option. I've been clocked going 107mph as my highest speeding ticket, but I wasn't racing at that time. I was on my way to Florida for vacation.

And you rant is going to fall on deaf ears by the way. Street racing has been around since the time Autosports was ever created.

Times eleventy billion!

Don't think I could've said any of that better myself. My buddy bought his fully loaded Type S when they were first released for under 30k.

Okay, sorry. Let me rephrase it to the more generalized "into the side of any car" statement that most people would have picked up on. And really, jail is an option? You would really risk your license (which, in case you forgot, you need to drive) and risk the safety of anyone who's not only on the road you're on but might come onto the road in front of you (remember kids, you might think you know how to avoid a car driving at 105mph, but the car you're avoiding probably doesn't know how to react to a car coming at them at 105mph) just to beat some schmuck you've never met in a random drag race? For what? Just so you can tell your "homies" that you "killed" some car? No wonder the vast majority of society paints us as reckless, tasteless retards.

Just because it falls on deaf ears doesn't make it any less relevant. If I make just one person go "you know, maybe I shouldn't endanger the lives of myself and everyone around me," then it's worth it. And murder has been around since the time people were created, but that doesn't make it any better. There's a reason petty street racing transitioned into proper autosports.
