anyway back to the video. that didn't really help. they should of had the compete TRD package along with the supercharger.

TRD Sport Muffler
TRD Struts/Shocks Kit
TRD Lowering Springs Kit
TRD Assembly Clutch
TRD Quick Shifter
TRD Front Strut Tie Bar
TRD Rear Sway Bar
TRD Supercharger

If they wasn't going use the Tc with the complete TRD package. They should of use the reg cobalt , the reg civic, and the Tc without the supercharger. You know to keep everything even and fair.

I guess it's up the person who is reviewing the cars. anyway back to the scion TC and the cobalt SS. Have anyone with a supercharger race a cobalt ss? My brother's co-worker has one and my brother raced him in his baby's mother 2003 corolla. My brother said he smoked him. The corolla has few high performance mods. I wasn't there I so I don't what happen. My brother said I driver better then him and he want me to race him one day. my brother is setting me up for races and not asking me if I want to. lol I have enought speeding tickets. But I will race him when I see my brother's co-worker. My favorite quote is "Straightaways are for fast cars. Corners are for fast drivers.."

I have a 2003 Corolla as well as my tC. I can tell you, that unless it had ALOT of performance mods, there is no way it would hang with the cobalt ss.

Here's a vid of me going against a Cobalt SS. He said he was pushing 19 psi of boost. He beat me, but not as bad as it looks. You can really hear his super charger whine off the the line, then drowned out by me as I start to loose traction. I was on street tires and it was raining earlier that day, so my times were horrible.

He was a 14.1 @ 102, with 19 psi boost, re-flash and full exhaust.

I went 14.3 @ 102, with 7 psi SP turbo kit, magnaflow catback

Takes why I said I wasn't there and I don't know what happen. He just said he smoked him cutting in and out of traffic and he was hitting corners better then him. That's why he said I'm a better driver then him.

Yeah I saw that you lost traction in the video. Do you think he had more upgrades in it

As far as I could tell he didn't. I'm not real familier with the cobalt though. He kept popping his hood in the staging lanes and nothing really stuck out. His buddy also running a Cobalt SS snapped his drive shaft at the line.

I was impressed at how quick it was, then come to find out afterwards he was running 19psi of boost. At 102mph, that put's him in the 270hp range.

19 psi of boost. that is nice. Hopefully the Tc supercharger can get up there soon. they say the vortech can handle up to 20 psi and 475 hp but no one got it up there so far. I already post the link up for it if you didnt see it

you can upgrade the cobalt to stage 1 and stage 2. stage 1 is $500 and you get 236 hp. stage 2 is 750.00 and you will get 241 . that is so cheap. TRD need to copy what they are doing.

Anybody know when ZPI is gonna release that 20psi pulley??? ROFL LOL. My friend with a Saturn ION redline constantly talks about how sweet his car is. His first time at the track he ran a 14.7. I didn't buy my tC to go fast, I have something with 110hp at one wheel for that. Sometimes I'll talk about getting the TRD supercharger and he always says please please don't waste your money on that. (rolls eyes). He also tries to tell me to get a different supercharger. (yea when someone else makes one) I'm just happy my car doesn't have a rear beam suspension. That's totally off-topic so I'm just going to stop now. "It is time to stop now Mac" . . . Mac: "It is time . . . to stop . . now . .Mac?"

Actually stage one and two by gm are very over priced other venders offer you more power for less money intense racing is one thers a guy running 12s with there stage five kit which I think is right around 900 to 1000 bucks

getting back to the video comparison.
#1. GTi - will be at the dealer more often then it gets its oil changed...and in a few years will be burning oil faster then you can funnel it in. Yea its quick, but terribly shotty when it comes to everything else. What other cars have sun roofs that open for no reason or stall in the rain?

#2. Civic Si - dependable. has LSD. but who wants to wait until 8000 RPMs to feel like youre ripping it? no torque....not my type of car.

#3. Cobalt SS - a cavalier with a facelift and a blower. we all know about the POS cavaliers. plus my friend has one and all the interior paint is coming off and the car looks like a POS after one year.

#4. SC tC. we all know and love...but just couldnt keep up with that damn Kraut Wagon.

Is your friend S/C as well? He's full of it if he said he won. My friend has the S/C Cobalt and only an engine damper on it. I've got an NA setup tC (I/H/E/pulley/short throw) and he beat me in the 1/8 by 1/2 length and 1/4 mile by 1.25 lengths.

Unless the Cobalt spun for a few seconds not moving forward, your friend didn't win if he's NA.

I already raced My brother's co-worker with the Cobalt SS/SC and I won. We raced three times that night. I won all three of the races but the cobalt ss/scc is no joke. If would of messed up or slip a gear I think he would of had me. I'm not sure, but don't sleep on the cobalt ss/sc. matter of fact don't sleep on any car you about to race. I was ready and focus. As for my friend I don't what happen that saturday night. I don;t know if the driver of the cobalt has bad reaction time or wasn't ready . maybe he slept on the Tc. Who know what was going on with the other driver in the cobalt. That's why I don't sleep cars with I'm going to race them.
