Those numbers have to be played with on the dyno b/c how could you gain that much just from turning your stock air intake into an after market intake? It shows on there that all they did was remove the bottom portion of the airbox. Umm......all that does is turn into a short ram essentially, although that's basically what you already have stock. If you would get those gains just from removing the lower portion, then why would you even worry about getting an intake?

I don't like internet dyno charts. Way too scetchy and photoshop is so easy to use. Especially when all they are doing is taking the stock air box. The tC doesn't show HUGE gains like that even with an intake so it's highly, and almost 100% fake if it does on these "dyno sheets."

IMO.

Im not positive, and I didnt check back since last time I read it. But I think the person was running with out the TRD reflash. People were getting better numbers without it, but i think in the long run it was causing problems. Also remember, no two dynos are the same. Without a baseline, numbers are just for reference. There could be +/- 20 WHP difference from one dyno to another with the same car.

(I ran 207 WHP on one dyno then 227 WHP on another. Zero changes to the car in between. the day I ran 207whp another supercharged tC (stock) ran 177 whp immediatly after me)

Yeah, I wouldn't go with any claims of this whole airbox ordeal. Just remember the whole stick/leaf thing. Anything get sucked into the combustion chamber to cause mechanical damange for a measly 14 hp is DEFINATELY not worth it. No hp gain is.

This is why I ask if anyone one ran the TRD supercharger with an open air box. it said the TRD supercharger got up to 214.5 Max power and 202.8 of max torque. I want to know if that is true or not. I never heard anyone talking about it.

They've done that with the NA setup, that's why I can kind of answer some of this. The NA setup gained about 5-8 hp.

Yeah we are good friends. Yeah he was real dissapointed. So was I. I hit the 207 and thought it was WAY low, so I asked to have his done and when his did 177 we new it was lower than average. He had 1000 miles on it and worked at the dealership so its babied pretty nicely.
So we just took it as a base and figure I have 30 WHP over a stock supercharge setup. And when I redynoed I hit 227 which is about 30 whp over the average stock run.

nope he was 5 speed as well. The dyno was just reading lower than what most people were used to. I ran 207 with NST pulley, bpv, exhuast. Then I later ran 227. He hasnt rerun his.
An auto tC ran that day and only hit 119 I think.
(but then a 350z ran and hit 650WHP. Pure sex!!)

Gotta give respect to the ones that deserve it. Just imagine being near a Lingenfelter Vette flooring it from about 200 yards away and flying past you at around 150+!!! Yeah, my knees were weak. Test track in Italy, I lived there, was showing some Ferarris and one guy bought an 04 Lingenfelter setup Vette. Yeah, it was sick. Ferraris were just watching in amazement.

The dyno was way low, I have dyno sheets, pictures and videos. (to include the 350Z He was on the cover of modified mag last month)
The 350Z was twin turbo. Completely insane. I would post pictures but thats not what this thread is about.
As far as the tC above. That is garages car. He is the fastest supercharged tC on the site. Deffinetly possible, but EXTREMELY rare. 14.74 is the best I have turned with almost the same power as him. Grage just must be an amazing driver. Or he had better tires than my kumhos.

I lived about 2-3 hours from Modena test track for 3 years. That area was amazing for cars.
