Hey Cliffud, is it going to overload my system if i have 3 sets of ballasts in my xB, i have 2 sets at the moment, (8000k in the headlights and 3000k in the fogs) but i am wanting to put some 12000k in the high beams but not if i am going to burn it down...lol...let me know and i will probably be placing an order in the next week or so
Just1n - yep, that's your old R1 is on the site.
Unit_xEr0 - glad you got it hooked up w/o a hitch, your HID system will be much better off now that it's getting the proper power it should.
Dane - you won't burn down the ride bud.
Believe it or not, when running 3 sets of lights you'll still draw less wattage than 2 sets of halogen bulbs.
HID: 3 sets x 2 bulbs per set x 35 watts/per = 210 watts
Halogen: 2 sets x 2 bulbs per set x 55 watts/per bulb= 220 watts
Wait for the e-mail before you order the 12k though... ;)

Clifford,
Checking out the Gallerys on some of the beautiful 1st gen xBs, I notice that some owners went with the Projector Headlights mod.
Does your Basic H4 Conversion Kit also work in the Projector Headlights?
Or require Special Modifications? Any Tips or Special Instructions on what to look out for?
What if I put your Kit in stock headlights first and decide later on to Upgrade to PH?
Do you need to know beforehand because of the length of the harness might change?
I am looking forward to my order.
Thank you.
MR LUV

Hey Mr. LUV-
I'm not sure the H4 bulbs will work in a projector headlight simply because the projectors may require a diff bulb type. For example, Chris' first gen xB in the gallery has a Zomk projector set and it required a 9006 bulb.
For the stock H4 kits, all the modifications necessary are already done before they are sent out so what you get is a very easy kit where all you have to do is plug stuff together. The bulbs are side specific and the bulb with the black 2-prong plug goes on the passenger side. (sounds vague but it will make sense when you see the kit)
Later if you upgrade to a projector housing, the only thing you'll need is a diff set of bulbs, the wire harness can stay where it is and there will be no change in length required.
BTW - you should have your kit tomorrow.

Thanks.
Clifford

I actually emailed Clifford about a week ago, asking about it (quick response too)
Still not sure if I will make the plunge just yet though.
I'm hoping I can get good ol' Mom to get me the kit for Christmas and save me some money.
