Got my HID's today (I wasn't expecting them so fast!) and install was fairly easy. Had a little trouble with one plug but once I found out what to do felt pretty stupid, but anyway! Install was pretty straight forward, the hardest part being finding spots to mount the ballasts, but its all in the fun! After install the cutoff and stuff matched basically the same but I lowered them a tiny bit just for now and see how it works out

Here are some pics I have. The first shot is the stock OEM front on.

Here is the new 4300K's installed. Note: glare is most likely just from the camera, the cutoff compared to stock was basically identical.

And finally, from the side of the right headlight. Pure white, no yellow or blue. Will have a better report once I actually use them tonight

Excellent kit, construction is top knotch. Again, I will give a report on how they perform tonight! Also, I will get a picture of the cutoff sometime soon!

Hey I have a question,

Since HID's use a large spike of power to startup initially, should you not put your HID's on without the car actually being on? I know they use less energy after startup compared to halogens, but is that spike up front able to drain the battery significantly?

Invertalon, don't worry about the power draw, people use up more power thumping their stereo systems when parked so you should be fine.

I can't wait to hear your reaction after driving at night man. haha. Keep us posted.

All I can say is, WOW. The light output is amazing! Very bright and well, just as expected!

I really dig the 4300K bulbs too. I was afraid I may not like the color output but its actually quite amazing. Very white but has an LED look to it almost. Very clean looking. I was afraid it may almost look slightly yellow but that is definitely not the case! Glad I chose it!

Here are those other pics I promised. One of the cutoff, another of its ability. Note: this is city driving and it still shines up the road!

Amazing lights and excellent service, thank you so much cliff!

Nice! I love that rolling shot on the freeway.

I never get tired of seeing how much farther the light shines compared to halogens. In that freeway photo, your headlights seem to be lighting up the ground as far as that guy's halogens on the right and he's 20-25 feet ahead of you!

Hahaha!

It is crazy how far they do shine!

It doesn't show it as well as it could because that is a curve, but at some points on darker roads it seems to illuminate as far as you can see. I can't wait to try them out on some dark stretches of road and really see how far they can go.

At one point I was shocked coming off the freeway, it kinda overlooks this field and houses that must be a decent 200 yards if not ever more away. My lights illuminated their house without problem! haha

What I find interesting with a video that I took of my first startup, is that it almost looks as if the high beam reflector housing ignites and has that insane burst of light and then the projector low beam housing lights up. I wonder what causes that to happen? Just kinda interested me!

Mengsta -

Keep your paypal receipt e-mail as that is your proof of purchase for any warranty service needed in the future. Also, yes, the passenger side OEM plug does not connect to anything, it just hangs. And yeah, the bulbs may be a little tough to turn in. Some haven't had any problems but others have for some reason. As long as you can get the bulbs to turn a little and stay, you'll be fine.

Thanks.

I have a few quick questions for everyone....

I know it's a VERY newbie question to ask, but i've never swapped out my lights before. Can anyone tell me or post some PICS of their MobileHID installation on a tC??? I really want to do it myself, but would hate to screw anything up.

Any tips / pics of where you placed / mounted the ballast, relay, & fuse would be awesome.

And the dumbest questions of all.... Where do I plug in the factory turn-on plug? What should I do with my old halogen harnesses?

I know a its a lot of REALLY dumb questions, but the instructions could have been a little better for someone doing the lighting for the first time. Thanks!

The wire harness plugs into the OEM headlight plug on the driver's side.

Awesome! Thanks so much Cliff!

1 more quick ? for you. What do you usually do with / recommend people do with the passenger side OEM headlight plug after you've installed the HID?
