My exhaust is shot. Found below for sale on eBay.

Question: where in the Xa exhaust is the catalytic converter ? I don't understand what "resonator" means. In the picture below, is the "hot dog" shaped think the catalytic converter ?

Any concerns you'd have getting this ? (I know "Toyota is best" - but it is $800 and I don't have money).

I looked in service manual - it shows one pipe that includes the catalytic converter and resonator. Car isn't here so I can't check.

Is this one pipe for all ? If so, the ebay part is only just the resonator portion (no cat converter). That means I have to cut to use ?

 

Hey everyone. I just installed a new brake and rotor kit on my 2007 tC... They are the slotted rotors and ceramic pads, pretty typical. After I installed everything, I followed the break in procedure provided by the manufacturer then let the car cool. When I went out a few hours later I noticed the rear brakes are squeezing like mad when driving but once I start braking the squeezing goes away.
