So, I ordered a TRD Oil filter just to try it out (PTR43-33010). I opened the box and glanced inside and what I see is a little disconcerting. It looks like in manufacturing the holes weren't punched like they should've been

Can someone please tell me if this is how these filters are designed? or... did I get a lemon filter lol

 

Bump for urgency, have to put in the new engine tomorrow and don't want to blow a brand new engine.
