i have 06 BSP and have a couple scratches already that i want to touch up, does anybody reccomend any particular brands or kinds of touch up paint? i have never used touch up paint before

 

Yeah...Go to the dealership. They have the exact paint! That way you know it will be correct. I just picked some up this week but I have not found a good way to apply it without making it look worse than the scratches that are already there.

same here i should have just left the scratches looks worse now with the touch up paint

 

I thought there was a tech discussion or sticky on this, but yes get it from the dealer. I've used it a lot because of little rock hits on the tollway.

I believe you can also get color matches from PaintScratch.com - as long as you have your paint code.

 

it takes nuts but you need to wet sand where u touch up and then hit with some compound or wax (lite grit paper)

 

I've never liked the touch up paint from the dealership. More specfically, I've never liked the applicator, always came out too messy for my taste. Here is something that might be worth while and something I'd try when it comes time (which seems like sooner than later considering all the posts about the poor quality factory paint)

It's like those White-Out pens, but with touch up paint. They do have all the color codes for Toyota/Scions and tell you where to find it on your car.

damn if you have any good luck with the bsp touch up paint let me know.....I live in lauderdale florida and F@%kn hurricane wilma bout it ___ ruined my car along with many others. shingles flew like crazy n scratched the ____ out of my car...some can buff out others went down to the paint. not only was my car scratch but my neighbors brand new TL got it worse than me
