Hey All -

My first post - whoop whoop! I have a 2008 Scion tC - completely stock (because i'm boring like that). Anyway, I wanted to install some Sylvania ZXE headlights tonight. I looked online at Advance Auto Parts and they said that the 9006's were the exact fit for my car and "SYLVANIA SilverStar zXe Plastic Box TWIN; Low Beam; without projector-type headlamps."

Since I didn't know the difference between projector and non-projector type headlamps, I googled it and came to the conclusion that I had the "without projector-type headlamps." And even yesterday at Auto Zone the guy told me the 9006's were correct. But, when I looked tonight at my lights, I saw H11's and 9005's...so now i'm confused. Either i'm missing the 9006's or I bought the wrong ones. Can someone please help? I spent an hour tonight and all I got out of it was a whole lot of cursing and frustration.

 

The H11 should be for low beams on your car and the 9005 are for the highbeams. It should also say in your owners manual if you have it. The 08 tC's if I can remember are the first ones to come out with the projector type headlights.

Gonna save from adding another thread but same question as Kat but for a 2010 Tc. Are the headlight bulbs the same for a 2010 as you had suggested for a 2008 ?
