Although you are right in that I care more about my car than Toyota does, I'm not sure that the schedule that you suggested is realistic. Who developed the maintenance program that you posted, and what evidence do you have to show that following your schedule is better for my car than following Toyota's?

FYI we are driving a toyota, not a ford, these guidelines are not only unnecessary for 99.9% of all scion owners but they are also a waste of time. You can inspect your hoses every 250 miles if you drive a car modified up the ___, and ur running 30+PSI...
who has heard of replacing spark plugs at 30K miles...honda for example says you dont need your first spark plug changed unitl 100K miles, if you dont believe me, research their website. you should stay away from these guidelines as you dont drive a car which is this high in maintenance requirements.
P.S. toyota says the coolent fluid is good for 100K miles, who are you gonna believe, the guy who started this thread or toyota who actually built the engine. Some ppl need to understand where they are getting their source of info from.

i understand that, i am just suggesting this. I am not forcing you guys to use this, it is merely a suggestion. Ive been using this since i got my first car ( festiva) and ive never been to a repair shop, except for regular schedualed matainance. I really shouldnt feel attacked for suggesting somthing as you guys are making me feel. If you dont agree with it then dont say anything
i am not attacking you, but you are misleading people, this car is by far not this high of a maintenance vehicle. if you have ppl reading this stuff, then they are going to get the wrong idea. you should have put a disclamer on the bottom stating that not only is this useless for this car, but it is something you purely made up. you needed to emphasize that further, and that's what i did for you. even lambo owners dont follow this.
Here here~ no need to argue about this :D
The schedule makes sense for high maintenance and highly modified vehicles~ My friends 3rd gen RX7 uses pretty much the same methods and he's still running on the original turbo and motor for 80k miles (which says a LOT)
However, our cars are not high performance sport cars. They're economy cars right down to they're maintenance habits. The way our engines are designed, such a schedule would be overkill.
If I ever plan to do extensive mods like FI, or plan to do track often, this schedule is a good plan to follow to keep my car in top condition. Other than that, I'll stick to the Toyo guidelines for regular maintenance.
