PCV Valve
i hear like an "unclean" noise when i drive. describe in a post a long time ago, it's like air being sucked in or shot out as if there is water in there.. I'm not sure if that makes sense to anyone.. It sounds like it's coming from below the engine area maybe near the tires..
Anyways, i was told to change the pcv valve. anyone else have any ideas what it could be.
i have an 05 xb and im going to do this

is that correct, are any steps missing that will screw up my car.

I called the dealership, he said not to buy a new one cause that wouldn't make sense and he's never had anyone needing to replace it. He said to get carb cleaner and clean it? Any other ideas where this noise is coming from.
PCV is just under the engine cover, so it would not be making noise by your tires. By the sound I think you are describing, it sounds like a possible vacum leak....id check for a disconnected hose.
