It will act that way until the motor warms up.

How long you had it? Miles? It might be time to change your tranny fluid.

Had it a month. 1700 miles. The blue low water temp is also on on start up. Goes away in couple miles.

While the blue cold temp light is on, the car will not shift into O/D. It is by design to bring the car up to temp faster, IMO. Once the Low temp light goes off, it should act normally. If what you're experiencing doesn't go away once you're up to temp, you may want to have the dealer check it.

This is why I don't buy cars with automatic transmissions...too many problems to worry about...

mine did that too -- it's the first time i didn't let it warm up- just jumped in and took off. It felt like a slipping clutch -- it was fine after a few miles -- all good

It's in the low 30s in Delaware and my xA does this as well in the morning. I think it's all just normal operation. Pretty cool idea I think.

Do what i do... Start the car and let it set there for 3-5 minutes, let it just warm up before leaving. Really cold days (25, or below) give it 6-8 minutes. Although you really won't hurt the motor driving it while cold, i don't like the idea of driving my car without the motor warmed up. Works for me.
