That you have to wait two months b4 waxing your new car in order to preserve the paint? Also, is it true that High-pressure (coin-operated) -car washes damage paint jobs. Any help on clearing these ???'s up would be most helpful.

Only true if you just painted your car. Most of the cars they sell has been out from the factory and off to the dealership for a while. About the high pressure wash, I take mine to high tech car wash all the time. The water nossle goes down as close as 12 inches from the contour of the car. When it sprays it sounds like it is ripping my car apart. The paint looks good and the high power blower to dry it is really nice too.. its like 95% dry after i got my car trough. I never trust other car wash that use people to hand dry it. I dont trust their wiping cloth and who knows what kind of contaminant is on the wipe.

I know for sure that you shouldn't take your car through those gas station car washes that have the spinning brushes - that's how you get swirlies in your paint. Touchless imho are fine to go through but of course it won't get the car as clean as a good ol hand wash.
I go to Cactus Car Wash in Atlanta and they use a machine which touches your paint but the fabric is very soft and it's very gentle - rated #1 car wash in Atlanta and you can get it run through and hand dried for like $8!!

I blew the paint right off the roof of my Jeep Grand Cherokee at the hand held just last month. Of course it's 10 years old with 106,000 miles and Chrysler products from the late 80s to at least mid 90s seem to have a knack for doing that.

Hasn't stoppped me from going blasting away on the CamoBox.
