Default water pump issue?

whats up guys. i didnt want to jack the other guys thread that asked about a water pump, so i decided to create my own. i did a bit of research and found a little bit of info, but the guy's thread was "not found". anyways, my car leaked some coolant near the right front wheel. i checked the reservoir and its almost empty. there is sufficient coolant in the radiator. so my question is could my water pump be going out? im at 35K miles. any imput would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

so, i took my car to the dealership and they said they couldnt find any leaks. they blamed it on an after market upper radiator hose. i told them that when it was switched out, it did leak a bit of coolant so thats where the pink residue came from. i told the service advisor that if it was the hose it would leak constantly. it does not do that. i just leaked a good amount near the right front wheel. so they said they couldnt find anything. im gonna see if it does it again and i will take pictures this time to show them next time. anybody know if there is a specific diagnostic test for water pump failure? i did a bit of research and found out tha if you find big leaks under your car, it could be water pump failure. they didnt even mention this to me.
