For anyone starting with the synthetic polymer sealant products, I recommend Klasse All-in-one as a first step. It will last for up to 6 months and can be used on glass and plastics (all non porous surfaces) as well to protect, shine and bead water.

For additional shine/protection, I recommend 3-4 additional daily coats of Menzerna FMJ (Full Molecular Jacket) over the All-in-one. That stuff is like concentrated Klasse Sealant Glaze (which requires more coats to achieve the same shine level). All products are very easy to apply and buff off (don't do in direct sunlight).

People have commented specifically that even one week baked-on Love Bugs come off with no bug remover products using FMJ which seems relevant to this post.

For wax products, P21S comes highly recommended and can be layered over the All-in-one, but only lasts up to 90 days since it is carnuba.

I think zaino is in a 'higher' class than klasse (comparing synthetics). People would complain about mixing zaino, or about getting the Klasse sealant glaze off, etc. However, menzerna FMJ closes the gap when used over klasse AIO or final polish II. I may be wrong here, but zaino is also up to twice as expensive as FMJ.

Zaino does cost more but you use very little product to do an entire car. I can do my xA with about 1oz of Z5. One bottle should last you a long time.

Default Glare!!!

GLARE is unbelievable......expensive but worth it!!

http://www.autopolish.net/catalog.asp

Ever since I put it on, I can go through the no touch car wash and it comes out looking like I just waxed it. It will protect your paint quite well.

same thing with klasse AIO, sealant glaze, fmj.... 1 oz does the whole car for up to 6 months.

I bought some Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax, and I must say, after waxing cars for the best part of my 57 years, it has to be about the best wax I have used. What a shine it put on the box. Costs a little more than others, but worth it.
My thanks to all the feedback from you guys.

I used Meguiars Clay Bar and it works great. It comes with two clay bars, spray detailer, cleaner wax, and a soft micro fiber towel. I picked it up from PepBoys for under $20. Also for the love bug problem use a dryer fabric softener sheet. Wet it and gently rub those peskyass guts off with little effort. Thats not for prevention but for easy removal of the bugs n guts.

I use a two-stage polish/wax, it's really easy to apply and buff. Costs around $22/each for one liter.

Ahhh, yes, the Autoglum guys are just as fanantical as the Zaino guys.

However, Zaino is still better! :D :D

I love Autoglym polish! It's not too pricey, goes on easy, no white residue, and comes off easy too. I had been using it every six to nine months, with P21S applied every three months.

I lost my jar of P21S, so I borrowed my friends Menzerna FMJ. Gonna put on a coat soon and see how I like it. Then I need to decide on what to buy for myself. You Zaino guys are making it sound awful nice...

Oh, and I clay bar about once a year. I usually do it spur of the moment, and just pick up a Mothers kit at Autozone.

I use Meguier's NXT. Pretty nice shine. Might try to get something else though. That Zaino looks nice.

Unfortunately none of that is due to the Teflon, though. Teflon cannot be used effectively in automotive applications such as waxes and tire dressings; its just a marketing buzzword.

Meg's NXT Tech is about the best you are going to do for off the shelf wax. I would recommend anything Poor Boys sells for online waxes. Klasse and Menzerna are also outstanding choices.
