Default xA whining at highway speed

I've had my xA for 3 days now and have about 170 miles on the odo.. i've noticed, when i get up to highway speed (round 60-65mph) there is a weird whining comming from in front of me.. maybe from inside the dash or even the engine bay...

its really erie.. just a subtle whine..its annoying. Has anyone experienced this? YouR input is very appreciated

I note a slight gear whine at speed, particularly on downhills where the gears are lightly loaded.

Not much to do about it, though. Perhaps a change in gear lube might make it better, (or worse).

My solution has been to put a CD in the player.

Could be the engine running normally, it does rev pretty high on the freeway.

I can't say that I've noticed it before, and I pay a lot of attention to road noise.. (noticed clicking from the hubcaps while driving...) if it continues take note of what the conditions are and numbers (speed, rpm, etceteras) and see if the dealer can say anything, because in my xA I never noticed that sort of sound before...

so weird its still doing it.. i'm only going 65mph when it starts whining inside the dash.. i'll call the dealership bout it soon. Its just like kind of high pitched whine.. hard to explain but its annoying!!

Oh.. and yah i'm still breaking it in.. so who knows. 600 miles to go!

It may be the wind blowing through the cowl in front of the windshield. Make sure that it's tightly connected. At any rate take it to the dealer.

I have a noise coming from the cowl myself however it's more of a rattling noise. The Rav4 was notorious for it.
