Since a woman is never going to be able to totally prove within 3 months(1st trimester abortions are the only thing i know that's legal) in our court system that she was raped and she should be allowed to have an abortion.

My only logical solution to this is if you get an abortion, you get sterilized. This way people are less prone to lie.

Today, women are empowered and will talk about things like rape.

I know a number of women through my life that trusted me to tell me about it and I am sure that many want it to be known.

No statistic is ever going to be 100% correct, but I'll take data over assumption any day.

uhm...last time i checked, it is 100% legal to have concensual sex if both/all members are over the age of 18. but problems happen, condoms break, girls forget to take their pills, or don't know that antibiotics cancel the effect, or a man just has sperm that travel upstream like salmon.

legslature will never end once this gets started. once abortion is deemed illegal, next thing on the docket will be the outlawing of ************ because our precious sperm is alive.

for people with religious issues, live and let live. you live your life according to your religous beliefs to the point that they don't affect other peoples lives.

for people who are against it because it is murder,
one: guys stop masterbating or using any birthcontrol or having sex that won't conceive a child because you are killing millions of potential children.
two, if you are against murder, where do you draw the line? are you a vegan? when you drive your car, do you drive slow enough as not to harm bugs on your windshield? do you use non-lethal mouse traps? how many of you hunt? swat flys? etc...

as an evolved species with the ability to reason, i think this is a simple decision that is entirely up to the mother and the mother alone. the government can not make somebody go through pregnancy.

first off thats a typo (7 is right above the number on the keypad i meant to hit) and i fixed that typo in my post and even made a new post about fixing it two pages ago.

and yes more women say that they have been raped now more than ever. But still, 2-4 times the actually number done in any study is considered to be more of the right answer. Someone extremely close to me was raped. And she has not told a soul other than myself and 1 other person. I know of at least 4 other women in that same situation. They would much more openly tell a close, trusted friend than they would any sort of ''official''

Also the rape situation is a circular argument for many reasons. Rape is illegal and also should never occur in the first place, but it does.

Rape happens to powerless women...

Abortion happens to powerless babies...

Maybe we should make rape legal? No... obvisouly not. Even though sexually abusing a woman is not as bad as killing a child, it is definitely not being considered to be put up for legality.

Using examples like rape are attempts to justify things that our consciences have problems allowing to be right.

If you have any doubt about the issue then you cannot possibly think that it is a fair practice...
