Atheist vs Theist (Debate)
Well if I'm wrong please let me know. The Dead Sea Scrolls that were found can put copies of the text we now call the Bible to some time in the Second Century.
Didn't a vast majority of the claims against Eusebius became shot down by the likes of Joseph Lightfoot?

Sorry guys!
Professor Michael J. Hollerich thinks such criticisms go too far. Writing in "Church History" (Vol. 59, 1990), he says that ever since Burckhardt, "Eusebius has been an inviting target for students of the Constantinian era. At one time or another they have characterized him as a political propagandist, a good courtier, the shrewd and worldly adviser of the Emperor Constantine, the great publicist of the first Christian emperor, the first in a long succession of ecclesiastical politicians, the herald of Byzantinism, a political theologian, a political metaphysician, and a caesaropapist. It is obvious that these are not, in the main, neutral descriptions. Much traditional scholarship, sometimes with barely suppressed disdain, has regarded Eusebius as one who risked his orthodoxy and perhaps his character because of his zeal for the Constantinian establishment." He concludes that "the standard assessment has exaggerated the importance of political themes and political motives in Eusebius's life and writings and has failed to do justice to him as a churchman and a scholar".

Now I don't think that all the people that claim to be Christian are really ones, or are really able to defend it, but it still would be daunting to argue with a group of them.
While I'm trying to answer some of your guys questions may I ask why are you atheists and not agnostics? I mean if there is no solid proof that god exists where is the proof that he doesn't?
OK... I'll take it. You cannot disprove something only prove it. Example:
Me: An invisible zebra who is all knowing and all powerful rules the world
kahuna: no he doesn't that is insane show me evidence of this
Me: show me evidence that he doesn't
kahuna: I can't because you just made that up
By your logic i just proved an invisible zebra rules the world

here it is from the first page:
you can only prove something is.
you can not prove something isn't.
if you took one science class in junior high and remember the scientific method, you'd know that.
That's the number one response ("prove he doesn't exist") that I've got when debating christians, and it just shows how unintelligent they can be.
Look, prove my magical fairy land doesn't exist. I'm not going to help you, and there's no actual parameters, nothing to test. just prove it.
see?

Can you link me to any documents? You may very well be correct.
Regardless, with such deception from the church and the admitting to lying for its cause, the burning of heretical texts, bible errors and alterations, how could any honest scholar take any book from the New Testament as absolute, much less using extraneous texts that support a churchs intolerant and biased position, as reliable evidence?

There's a reason these stories weren't included in the Bible. They are all one person's account that couldn't be verified by any other source.

LOL... Those accounts couldn't be verified any more or less than the others. The problem was that contradictions in the bible create doubt=weakens church's power=bad for business.
I would like to point out that Mary was credible when she was the first person to see Jesus raised from the dead but her testimony is left out? Hmmmm....

I'll give u a little project. read genesis 1:20-30, which are just days 4&5 of creation. It's super short. Now according to those verses, which are supposed to be the direct word of god as handed to moses, list out what order the bible says these animals were created in.
Pigeon, Turkey, Whale, Stegosaurus, Worm, Cochroach.
if you actually do it, it'll surprise you (& please reply with your order if u do).
Having something like a canary exist a day, a year or a billion years before a Stegosaurus, Worm, or Cochroach is wrong in so many ways. The bible says is the order of creation explictly...the first page of the book that the entire religion is based on, says something that is beyond logic, common sense, biology, evolution and most peoples home-grown creationlism(christians dont really read the bible so they just make stuff up as they go thinking they're in line with the bible cus "it feels right").
Well, how I would approach that is just to point out that you are still looking at it from an Macro-Evolutionary standpoint. As I've alreay said I'm an Old Earther. No sane person can deny the fact that microevolution occurs. I mean just look at bacteria becoming resistant to antibiotics. So base generalizations like worms and cockroaches don't really pertain here.
So if the big guy created a flying creature (not a canary) before he made a land animal (Stegosaurus) thats not that far off.
After all you said the text descibing that are "super short" and they don't go into detail on what each animal created on which "day".
To go back a page or two. Someone stated that the great flood when said to cover the earth only meant "the land" (egypt and surrounding areas in africa). The logic that this was his only peopel is very false.
At the time it was written, it is believed that the people did not know about the civilizations spawning in eurasia. They also did not know about the native americans and mayans, and incas, and the other civilizations that were on the other side of the world.
So to say that a flood covered the earth and wiped out all the humans except noah and a few is not impossible, it would have to mean that it covered the whole world and not just one areea.
Not to mention how cruel it would be of god to kill everyone else in eurasia and the americas for something that they have no clue is going on halfway around the world. Plus there is no great flood recorded in their cultures
