when really, you have no Idea what type of culture I grew up in.....You just assume!

As for the "as a human we got 1 shot"...I agree with that! I dont feel its better to be sheltered and wait for the after life...I enjoy everyday as if it was my last....(well atleast I try to..sometimes things get in the way...but i dont see myself as another sheep...So yeah...I get out there and try new things, but I just wont resort to a substance to help
you came from the same culture i did, i know you claim to be mexican even though you were born here, and i think never actually been to mexico. But in our culture, this culture, where tv teaches you about the world, and mcdonalds and walmart are used by over a 3rd of our population per week(yes it's disgusting). most everyone thinks generally the same.

We grow up in a culture where nearly everyone believes in a god. Not believing in one, of any kind, is looked down upon. Until abuot 30 years ago, atheist = communists as far as everyone else in the us thought. It's why atheist have zero protection from "religious prosecution" and yet christians get to build 170million dollar tax free catholic churches like you got in la.

certain substances broaden horizons. cocaine, heroin, speed, just feel good, but make you a slave to addiction. i hate those and similar drugs, because i have first hand knowledge of them. myself, friends, family, etc... But why don't you do certain drugs? if you know so much about lsd, then you know it's not addicting. you'd know it's less harmful than tobacco and yet you compared crack to it. It's because of how drugs are presented in this country.

sorry, but you're friend did not die from lsd. and him dying from wheat or corn fungus seems very unlikely.

with lsd just 20-30 micrograms is 1 hit/dosage.

one of the craziest things about lsd, is there is no other known substance on this planet to make ANY impact upon the body on a dosage this small. the next substance known to impact the body is over 200 times larger.

"one report of a suspected fatal overdose of LSD occurring in 1974 in Kentucky in which there were indications that ~1/3 of a gram (320 mg or 320,000 µg) had been injected intravenously, i.e., over 3,000 more typical oral doses of ~100 µg had been injected."

See, that right there is what I am talking about.....You just assume..Maybe I have family there....Maybe i like to take a Vacation to Playa Del Carmen every two years to snorkel in the reefs. You make it seem sometimes like you are the only one who thinks for themselves.....Sorry Dave...Im not as absent minded as you think.

Damn Walmart to hell.......but I cant get away from there super low prices...I spent 160.00 dollars there this past Monday that would have cost me over 200.00 for the same groceries at the local Kroger or Randalls..

I was being sarcastic when I made the remark about Crack and LSD...Like I said..the fact that you used it and admit that its one of the main reasons that you are so Open Minded today is nonsense to me...So without the LSD...were would you be today?
Im not going to sit here and be a hypocrite and say that i dont use drugs...I drink Alcohol and I smoke cigs...and have smoked weed just to let you know and yes...both of those are more addicting than LSD.I know

remember when we got into a discussion about race/immigration? how you're the mexican race, yet that isn't actually a race, and you're not actually from mexico? You said it there on that thread with your buddy tc4italy both calling me a dumbazz, because you guys invented a new mexican race and i didn't recognise it. I am not assuming.

somewhere different. i'd be more materialistic. i'd probably be a bit more sheltered and not able to openly discuss my past.

What would a group of atheist do with $170 million of tax free money to invest with?

Seattledave, you mention that you want to live life to the fullest, and that it is an adventure, have you ever climbed Mt. Rainier?

Ok can someone hear prove that the theory of evolution is 100% correct, or that I actually no that “Man” before me was once a monkey. Don’t tell me what the scientist who came before you thinks or what some book you have read says prove to me it is for real.

I want to know if what I believe from what I have read in a book and from what some man said that came before me is right or wrong so if you can just submit that proof of yours that you so readily rely on I am ready to sit down pop some LSD and have a dream about what you just said as to be more open minded about what I am doing with my life and that what I believe cant hold me down any longer.

So again I am looking for proof like you want me to submit 100% undeniable proof that you beliefs are correct.

PS Did the Greeks have any books that told them about Hades and Zeus and the contrast between the two about where they go in the afterlife? Or were they just stories that people told one another to make them selves feel better about the world they lived in? If so how does what their culture believed compare so closely to the beliefs of another civilization across the world Ex Incas and Mayans?

I am ready for my beat down but want to see this proof?

I pray that one day god will give christians like I-Fly-high the intelligence, patience and comprehension to read before asking the same question that has been asked and answered over and over and over and......

I will give you a "divine" hint - just read page 3 if reading 30+ pages is too much to ask of your time and brain.

^Ouch.
fly high,
Personally I'm also not convinced by evolution/big bang so we have that in common. Unfortunately for your argument evolution/big bang is based on research and studies and not a story from a time when people were extremely primitive/superstisious.
Let's say evolution/big bang is a load of crap.
Would you be willing to admit that maybe we don't know how we got here because we are without the proper technology, much like the primitive peoples of the earth who had a rain god and lightning god because they don't know where rain/lightning came from? Before science people thought earthquakes happened because god was angry. Just because I don't know for sure how we got here does not mean we should just make something up like the ancient greeks/early native americans

Im not a atheist, and I can tell by most of the atheists on here, that they would do a lot better stuff for mankind than build a monstrosity church to show off. NO Religious orgainization (Catholics, Jews, Muslims, Mormons) should be able to get away with building crap like that. Look at Bill Gates, hes given billions to charity. Most atheists I think would have a better chance of giving some of it to chartiy than MOST religious people.

schools, hunger, shelters, come on. just think, take all the land (and the taxes that shuold be raised from it) and all the money everyone gives to churches everyweek and use that for anything positive. Shoot use it for stem cell research, use it to build roads, i really don't care. something that benefits mankind. use it to fix global warming.

Preaching the same sermons week after week does nothing for anyone, and these people who pay for it are ignorant. I used to goto church allllllllll the time. I'd sit there and think, ok say I'm a christian, a good one, I live my life by the book, and I've found jesus/god as much as one can. Where are the sermons for those people? Why the hell do preachers only talk about the struggle to be a good christian, or how finding god is what they need. Ok, we got it now. Now where's step 2. We're past step one, i'm a good christian now, you got me, now where do we go from here? No where it seems. It's like going to driving school and every class teaches you like it's your first time driving. When do we learn advanced driving techniques?

christians should be meeting in their homes and quit spending money on church clothes. they pretend to be all high and mighty, especially the church-going groups, so why not actually act like it?

no, i haven't climbed mt. rainier. I used to want to be a mtn climber growing up.
but i'm scared of heights. I lived 5 minutes from six flags in texas from ages 5-15, had a season pass almost every year. went on many high things over and over. i don't get over it. plus i've tried climbing. not that fun. tree climbing where you go up 15 feet and can just sit there and chill, that's what i'd rather do.
