A-rod is in Canseco new book. As much a must of us hate Jose, Every alligation he made in his first book wound up being true. Might be something to that.

Has Barry Bonds tested negative? No.

So therefore he is not guilty until proven guilty.

As far as A-Rod goes, how is he doing such great things? Similar to Barry Bonds? I guess he's roiding too, huh?

Personally, I would love to see A-Rod get himself a negative test and be banned from the sport, he's a cancer to every team he's on anyway and his team mates don't like him.

The thing I don't understand and leaves me stupified is when people bring up a picture of Bonds from his rookie year some 14 years ago until now and say he's a lot bigger. Yeah, he's not a kid anymore, his metabolism has slowed way down, he's been in the gym, and he's just plain gotten older.

What guy in his late 30's early 40's looks just the same as he did when he was 20/21? Especially when the guy is a heavy weight lifter? If I had the right lifting routine planned out for a year with the right nutrition I could gain 15 pounds of muscle in a singe year, why can't Barry bonds do that? Especially considering he has the incentive to do so and the money?

Is the record tainted? No.

Is he a people person? No.

Just because people don't like the guy doesn't give them the right to label him of something he has never tested positive for.

im glad he broke it cuz now all the talk can stop about him breaking the record but i will be glad when a rod breaks it (if he stays healthy and on pace).

but on a side note....to me the bigger milestone this past few days was tom glavine winning #300....probably the last pitcher to reach that milestone

LOL. Dude I've seen Jeter get booed. The other day Clemens got booed out of the building when he gave up those 8 runs the last time we lost a game (not last night when everyone was happy he beaned Rios). It's just that performance matters more than who you are. And between me and you, I'll take whatever A-Rod gives us this year and then I hope he opts out of his contract and we don't try to resign. Let the Sox have him, I don't care. I'm sick of hearing about his problems. Old timers are telling me he's the worst for attitude since Reggie Jackson.

Like I said earlier, A-Rod is a cancer in the locker room.

He's a great player, but there's just something about him that makes the teams he's on struggle to perform on their usual level, let alone not like him.

^ this is true...but i dont care about bonds and a rod and anyhome run records to be honest....theres always gonna be guys hitting baseballs over the fence....

for me, i wasnt interested in a rod or bonds getting to their milestones...i mean great accomplishments, but i was more into glavine and his 300 wins....when will we see another 300 game winner in the bigs? the big unit? hahaha. mussina? hhahhaah. to me 300 wins is more prestigious.

Clemens did eat it pretty bad too in that one game where he only lasted 1 or 2 innings....but yeah i meant like AROD gets booed more consistantly last year because he wasn't putting up the numbers and he was expected to do good. But, Bonds will go to the AL next year to play DH and AROD......man i think he might come to the Giants, been hearing bout them rumors

this is amazing to me, how many people on here support barry bonds. I am not an anyway a baseball fan, i think that the game is too slow and i easily lose intrest in it. But i, like many, have followed the barry bonds saga and i must say that not only do i loath him, i think that he should have an * next to his name in the record books, along with mark mcguire. I think it is rediculous for people to say that he didnt take steriods. I mean, look at how large his head randomly got, that isnt natural. I understand this is my opinion, and im sure ill get blasted for this, but i dont think he deserved this title or the record.

congrats to my man Barry Bonds. great accomplishment. it's funny how someone (Barry Bonds) can take MULTIPLE drug tests and pass each time and everyone still thinks he's tainted. he never failed a steroid test before yet everyone rips him because he got big or his head got "randomly big" as some genius put it. Take a look at your picture from 10 years ago and tell me you haven't gained weight or your head isn't bigger...I know I have and I haven't touched an illegal substance in my life! If a man passes a drug test how can you possibly say the man is a cheater?? especially when no one is coming out saying they have seen him do it or none of you "experts" were there. give the man is due respect and leave it at that. I'm sure none of you would like to be accused of something you didn't do...and you wonder why Barry Bonds isn't a people person

when was he issued a drug test by MLB? i dont recall him ever taking one or hearing of him taking one. and im sure if he was to take one and pass then that would have been in the media just as much as anything else barry bonds has done or hasnt done.

selig and mlb are chicken to give him one bcuz if what they think is correct and he fails, there goes alot of ppl going to watch barry play and they lose $. its all a monetary thing, if indeed was to fail but selig and mlb wont take that chance bcuz they have it in their heads that he is on steroids.

me, i will wait to pass judgement on him until hes proven guilty.

here is some trivia for you:

the pitcher who gave up number 756 to Barry Bonds had a father who pitched in the majors too - he faced Hank Aaron when he was going for his 756th home run.

if Aaron had hit 756 off his father, both father and son would have given up number 756 to a hitter - what would the odds have been on that?

...and it was a monster too! That may have been the longest splash hit I've seen yet. I think he's gonna shoot for 800. It's crazy that the most feared hitter in baseball is 43y/o

^^ yes and only he can keep that pitch fair, everyone else would just hook it, i dont think steriods can help you in that catergory

LOL maybe i should have posted this in the pacific mid section. Cheater or not its still the most prestigous record in sports.
It may be the most prestigious record in baseball, and even that is arguable but in all sports?? I don't think so.

Ted Williams batting average.
Cal Ripkins consecutive game record.
Joe Dimaggio's hit streak

I used to watch baseball a lot and still enjoy it.

Lance Armstrong winning the Tour 7 straight times IMO is way more impressive.
