Give a kid a time out? Please. Yeah, my dad gave me a time out. He'd take time out of his busy day to beat my @ss!

I'll tell you this. My parents never laid a hand on me when I was growing up. I can also tell you that on several ocasions I wished they would have. If a parent pays any attention to their kids at all, they can find punishments that work as well or better then hitting, you just have to know what buttons to push when.
