Maybe it's just me, but I think that even stuff like this can be misconstrued. Yes, we all know that each area of this website has a certain 'atmosphere', but calling the tC owners out for being dramatic needs to stop. Okay?

The first step is to ask around amongst the current Mods and SuperMods to see if there are any current members who are very active, well respected, helpful, and reasonably well recognized in the area in which we need a new mod.

Their name is tossed into a pot for discussion, and their post history and reputation are gone over. If they have had any run-ins with mods, or if they get objections from any of the SuperMods, they are eliminated from consideration and we move on.

Once we have what seems like a reasonable candidate, one of us will drop them a note to ask if they would like to become a mod for a limited area of ScionLife.com. If they say yes, we make it happen.

When there is an opening for a new SuperMod, we look at the current modlets to see who seems the most ready to be given the MUCH larger and much wider powers and responsibilities. Names are submitted, discussion happens, someone is chosen and they are asked. If they agree, they are promoted.

Admins are just clubbed and tossed into a bag, and when they wake in the morning find they are Admins...

As a someone that signed the petition I would agree to watching over tcpete as much as possible and helping him be the member that he should be. Together we can make sure the trash talking stays in the "Fun threads" where it should stay and not mixed in with the "will these wheels fit" type threads.

Anyone else care to agree to help watch over tCpete?

He'd be around my age, Fabian, first name Michael, red-headed Irish guy, from Queens, grew up along side the Jericho Tpke , haven't seen him since, uh, '67...
