Don't plan on driving it hard or increasing the power too much. I've seen the motor mounts/tranny mounts break on those, and it is not pretty. It's a fairly common issue.
nd4spdtc on here traded his rs 1.0 tc for a speed3 i think the first things he did was change the mounts hes from huntington so not to far from u he has a shop in his backyard. but besides that it shouldnt be to big of a problem
Yeah, the days of enjoying my old Toyota Land Crushers getting 12MPG (on a good day) are long gone. Still, I do miss the very first one I had...

(Not all that fast, I'll admit, and with a redline at 3600 RPM, not all that elegant a powerplant, either, but it sure liked climbing mountains.)

That was a '74 (got it in December of '73)
Yeah, the 2F engine was pretty much a 4.2 liter tractor engine. The 6 cylinder gas engine produced 135HP @3600RPM and 210 FT LB torque @1800. Add in something like an 8:1 first gear, a 2:1 reduction transfer case, and a 4.21 rear end and you could put the front bumper up against the side of a solid building, put it in compound low and it would sit there with all four big tires turning on dry concrete as it ground them down. One of the few things that could stop it was running out of gas.
