How do you guys deal when people talk ____ about your car? Usually I don't care I just tell them to ____ off or something, but ive been getting a lot of hate at work, and its not like I can tell an officer to ____ off. there are 2 other guys at my unit that are into cars, and we talk about it in our free time or whatever, and every chance a couple guys (in my chain of command) get a chance, they'll talk so much ____ and just hate on my car. I can blow it off pretty easy, but a daily reoccurrence sucks. I don't try and race my car or drive fast through the parking lot I drive like a normal person and I don't try to talk up my car.

 

I've noticed that the only way our cars get any love in the import scene is if they are boosted. I get some hate as well but it is mostly about the HP and handling. Fixing up the exterior of the tC really makes a difference, as the JDM wh*res 1st complement on how the car looks then proceed to bash the Camry engine.

 

I don't have this problem, at least to my knowledge. If people do hate they don't have the juevos to say anything to my face.

 

they arent even car guys, one is into jeeps and has a really hooked up jeep.

 

well a real car person will appreciate a car for what it is and what can be done to it.for instance a 1969 datsun 510 alot of peeps leave those stock and are pretty much slow underpowered car or the 60's vw bug again a slow car but look what it has turned into.i like all cars but one thing i hate is when someone will bash another car without any facts most american cars back in the day and until 99 only had around 200-250 hp out of a v8 engine and were running 15+ 1/4 miles..and like you said guy has a jeep not even in the same class..hell not the same sport how can you even compare the 2 .

 

Well, does he ever use it for its purpose? Like go mudding or anything? If not, you can just tell him off about that.

 

i get the best of both worlds i guess... you got the haters, but every so often I will get a completely random stranger that gives me compliments.

i had fully detailed every part of my car(its a sexy biatch hehe) and i went to the grocery store and and older man and his wife came up to me and told me that my car was "downright badass lookin, but classy"

haters can suck deez nuts dry.

 

i had an old guy at the car wash tell me that he bets girls drop the panties for my car. lol makes up for all the bs i get. and no, there isnt even anything offroad for a lifted jeep. unless parking on his front lawn is considered offroad.

And if they continue, flip out on them.

Dude those people on your boat are whack! Your tC is fine bro. You got a lip kit the pedestal spoiler, lowered and some axis wheels that look really good on your ride. Im jealouse cause you got the lip kit and no messed up bumpers like i do. But mine of from stupid hit and runs. Once i go turbo i will finally get my bumpers fixed. I coulda had them fixed already cause of the stupid idiots who drive down here in key west. I dont know how many times i have sweared to miss people when all i had to do was hit them and free bumper!!

BTW, he is in the Military and the people making fun of him is in his chain of command. So, it's not like he can go crying to his superiors the same way another person would if he were working at McDonalds.

The only thing you can do is try and join in on their fun. They are obviously doing it because they know it gets 2 you.

Its just bugging the sh** out of me to get it, Im in KW til March-June than ill be in SF.

Even the guy at the hobby shop at boca chica was hating. today I just replaced all my painted interior pieces, fixed my waterfall so the door is there. I had headers on my car and took them off, and my heatshield is MIA, and that guy was trying to make fun of me, made fun of my car being automatic. I think at 19, having the tc and having it paid off all by me, I think im doing pretty good. they dont know it gets to me cuz I laugh it off and try to just play along...I can tolerate a lot from them since I live in a closet sized room with them every other 3 weeks.

brock I live on truman now, I ride down duval to get home, I see so many opportunities to get the M3 bumper or a cf lip kit lol. weekend nights are horrible all the drunk people are just screaming HIT ME!!!!!. I admire your ride man, has a way better tone than mine.

 

Well thanks man! I just really need new bumpers and the dent knocked back out of the rear quarter panel. The dent is my souvenir from my first day in key west! Came down early to look for a place and while at the hotel it happened. I come out and my car alarm beeped like the car was touched. I looked all around and didnt see anything. Then as i am picking up some chinese food i see it as i am coming back to the car. I was so ____ed. People really like hitting my car!

 

I collected a ding on my drivers rear fender, my passengers door, my front bumper has a long scratch (brand new bumper too:/) My lip kit is pretty torn up, I had it on the lift at the hobby shop. I was just about to buy the RS1 CF lip kit but the damage to the front was a lot, one was from my home at college i lived on a busy road and would have to hit the driveway at like 35.

Hopefully Ill get to meet you soon and maybe see your tc turbo before I go to A school, I was gonna turbo/SC mine but the 4 months in key west ive put >800 miles on my car.
